Another great thing about mid-century modern furniture (besides the colors and clean lines) is its scale. Although mid-century modern can be stunning in large rooms, it is also great for smaller rooms. My livingroom is 17' X 11', and I replaced my oversized sofa and chair with a mid-century-style sofa and chair. That, along with mid-century accents, makes the room seem twice as big.
