    Let me know what you guys think of the video quality in this one. I ended up buying a brand new camera to shoot the content with. I've taken essentially 100% of the sales I generate from my course at InvestmentJoy.com/Course to just put back in doing 'stuff' related to my youtube channel. For better or worse, my camera rig now costs more than the Kia I drive, I don't know whether that is good or bad.

    Doing laundry for myself is therapeutic. The prepping, slotting in the quarters, watching the soap mix with the water, drying on high heat, and the best part of my laundry time…folding. My OCD is spot on when it comes to folding laundry. The creases, the smell of fresh, laundry sheets for that no-static folding experience. I fold a very specific way and never deviate. The whole laundry experience is just so damn great!!!!

    I know a guy that started out owning his own carwash and now also has his own laundry mat right across the street from his carwash. Seems like it’s some good, low maintenance side money. Obviously the carwash will require more keeping up with but eventually once your in profit and have everything paid off, you will be able to hire some people to run it for you. Then you will really be chilling on a beach in Hawaii, watching your bank account grow. 🤑 keep up the grind 👌

One Friday I rushed home to have a shower as I was going out. My mother had grabbed my shirt to wash but inside the breast pocket was $2,000 in $50,00 notes called "pineapples" in slang. There is nothing i can tell you about running your businesses. But as a former board member of multi million dollar companies i would advise you to have a really good acvountant and make sure you claim depreciation, maintenance etc. The most amazing thing i learned was that big companies dont count the money, they count the cost of the money. So if they're going to invest 200k. They dont worrk about the money, they look at the cost of the money, which may be 10k pa interest. If this investment makes them more than $300.00 per week they do it. Sounds like you know that. Good luck from new Zealand. You inspire people

    So happy to see such beautiful machines! Customers love consistency and quality. Keep the machines in tip top shape and the money will keep coming. One idea I would suggest is vending machines that are priced in increments of 25 cents. There’s been many times the laundromat has lost vending sales because they want to price stuff at like 55 cents, so I either don’t buy two items or don’t buy anything cause I don’t want oddball change along with my quarters.

    It might not seem important but have you thought about curb appeal? Ive noticed under the letter on the signage is all rust dripping down. Maybe painting the rock facade and getting the moss out of the concrete on the ground. A good pressure wash and paint job could really spruce the front up. Then your outside would match your beautiful laundry shop inside 🧺

    Do you have a video where you explain step by step the investment needed, the resources/knowledge/skills/risks involved in the operation, factors that make this business successful or a failure, average expected earnings, etc?
    Thank you for sharing.

    How much $$ in quarters does the change machine start with? Wouldn't you have to subtract that from the bills when you count?

    • @tarotaro6933
      @tarotaro6933 3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      the change machine doesn't make any profit at all since how much bill you took out you will have to replace the same amount with quarters. Only the washer/dryer/arcade machine/vending machine generate profit.

    • @LatitudeSky
      @LatitudeSky 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yep. The change machine is not revenue. It's actually a small loss due to power, wear and tear, depreciation, etc. The cash it takes in balances the quarters it vends out. It will never make a penny. One way around this is to have it dispense something like tokens where you can say you dispense four tokens for a dollar but your cost for the token isn't a quarter. Maybe it's ten cents. So then you can get some revenue out of it, assuming your token cost is less than a quarter or whatever.

    What is behind the wall of your change machine? If you have access to that, cut a panel out of the wall, and access the bills from behind it. Reduces risk and can be done no matter how many people are in the building at the time of collection.

    If it's true that time is money, then a new bill counter that detects the denominations would be worth it. As it is now, you're sorting the bills manually (at which time they could be counted, but I get it), passing them through one stack at a time, then redoing that two or three times if they jam. An upgraded counter would be like putting the bill collector in the change machine. It ultimately saves time and streamlines your process. Consider it.

  • @DonMetal
    @DonMetal 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Factor in the time it costs you weekly to sort the bills, I think you'll find the more expensive counter will pay for itself quite quickly.

    I don’t understand how you profit off stuff like this. You spend 10k or more on machines. And you only make enough to pay for one of those machines every so often. Over time, you’ll have to repair the machines, and even buy more machines. Where the hell is the profit?.....

    • @TITTO_Transport
      @TITTO_Transport 3 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      Running some numbers. A 30lb load commercial washer averages $2k. A customer pays on average $3 and the washer runs for 30 minutes. Let’s say your laundromat is open for 12 hours (720 minutes) a day. Customers wash for 30 minutes and the machine sits 15 minutes until the next customer uses it; that’s 45 minutes. In a full 720 minute day, the machine was used 16 times, at $3 each time, for a total of $48 a day. Laundromat is also open 7 days a week, so that’s $1,440 to $1,488 a month and 480 to 496 uses. In a month and 12 days, you paid off the machine. The remaining time the machine continues to work, it will pay utilities, space rental, warranty for no-cost repairs, and other expenses.
