Siskel & Ebert Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (1988) At Those Movies

I think this review shows how being a movie critic can be problematic. Here Gene gives a thumbs down because he the plot is too predictable and he says the main characters(Martin/Caine) don't interact very well. I mean, comeon these guys are a riot there's enough laughs to makeup for the lack of laughs in another comedy that came out around this time, Scrooged. At least Roger looked past the few minor flaws in this underappreciated comedy gem. My point to all this if a movie is funny, I mean REALLY FUNNY then don't nitpick and give it a bad review that's not fair to the genre and medium. Thumbs DOWN to Gene on this review.
