Gotta learn bits and pieces of this one. Thanks Chris.
You bet!
I love the lil quotes from "Bright Size Life" that you sneak in there Chris! Very cool 😎 👌
Thanks so much!
If there was music in Heaven, these guys would be the house band.
Thanks Al!
I'm so honored to be a part of this. Beautiful playing Paul and Chris!!!
So happy to play with you Emre!
Yes, a very well-done video -- I've watched it numerous times now.
stunning version
Thank you Alfredo!
Beautiful!
Thank you! Cheers!
Supreme! As a listener, I feel privileged. As guitar player/student (bedroom player), I am humbled and grateful. Thank you.
Thanks you for you support!
Yep 👍
Chris, great work, great sound !!! Congrats !!! - From Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Thank you!
Quietly unique. One of the best.
Thank you Stephen
Wonderful musicians, great Guitarist.. thanks a lot for sharing!
Thank you!
As Tal Farlow said in his documentary it either swings or it doesn’t. You guys definitely swing.
Thank you Charles
Chris you just keep getting better every day , Thanks for the Great Performance.
Thank you Charlie!
Wow. Been binging Alone Together covers for about 2 hours now. I've gotta say, although I prefer a hard swing from drummers and a pianist in the mix, this guitarist is the best soloist I've found for the tune. And I've listened to Martino, Bickert, and Matt Otten play this tune, just to name a few. You just can't fight the melody and rhythm present here. No hesitation, just beatiful lines.
Thank you CJ
Thank you, this is amazing. Trio sound like this is hard to beat
Thank you Eric
Très bon !
Thank you 🙏🏻
Wow, Paul - Wonderful to see you in your element and playing so beautifully. And, back at American Univ. where, I believe, you and Art met. ... memories.
Now, I'm expecting your album release, Chris..
Working on it!!!!!
Thank you for sharing your talent with the world
Thank you!

Chris, guys... I could listen to this all day! Great playing all around, and the video is well done, giving everyone some shine time. This music is so good - especially considering the drivel we get on the radio, or shoveled at us on TV. Thanks👍
Thanks Barry!
Very nice! One of my favorite tunes!
Thanks David!
Yes!

Excellent performance Chris ! Well done ! Regards, Bernard
Thank you Bernard
Espectacular sonido e interpretación, muy bien. Suena muy tradicional. La reverb es envolvente pero está lejana. Me pregunto: ¿Es un pedal? Saludos y gracias por la música.
Thank you!
Great! Bravo!
Thank you!
暖かいギターの音色が何とも言えない。
Thank you
🤩🙌

thank you!
Just what I needed to get the day kick-started. Really nice, thanks for putting this together. Now, where is that Jim Hall-Ron Carter CD I'm looking for!
Thank you! I love that CD
I think Jim Hall did it in C minor, this Is Chris Whiteman at his best.
Loved it! Do you think that transcribing and memorizing complete solos will help my ear, coming from a history of reading everything under the sun?
Yes! transcribing, memorizing, and utilizing the vocabulary in your own improv is a fantastic way to learn.
well done gents...!
Thanks Simone!
You are a virtuoso prodigy child !
Ha! Thank you my friend
So many great videos lately Chris. The black and white is so cool. My only question is when does the album drop?
Working on it Jed. Later this year for sure!
Great performance by all. Paul’s bass tone is so amazingly warm. Can I have your bass? 😊
Thank you
Some great playing as usual. Super trio. Are you going direct in the board? Guitar tone is stellar. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you! No, my amp had a mic in front of it
Brilliant playing! Beautiful tone!
Thank you A.G.!
What guitar/pickup/amp are you recording with here?
It's all wonderfully played by whole group. Love this music!
Thanks in advance for answering questions. Appreciate it.
It is a 1953 Gibson ES175 w P90. Headstrong lil king x amplifier
Great! Soon a CD or e-CD ?.... 😉
I am working on it! Sometime later this year for certain. Thanks for your support
Chris Whiteman Let’s put this out! This session sounds great.
👏👏👏😁
Thank you!
Chris Whiteman cool guys 🎸🍾🥁
Chris I really dig your videos and everything about your style of playing jazz guitar. Could I ask are you mostly self-taught?
Also what musicians inspired you growing up, thanks!
Thank you my friend. I have studied music for 35 years. Started with trumpet, then piano, classical guitar and of course jazz. I have an undergrad and graduate degree in music. As far as guitar influences: Hendrix, Buddy Guy, BB King, Wes Montgomery, Grant Green, George Benson, Jim Hall
@@ChrisWhitemanGuitar You truly have a great voice on the guitar. I got goosebumps listening to you and hitting your subscribe button. Definitely hear a little Jim Hall/Metheny in you which is awesome. Chris isn't it cool that nearly 50 years later all of us guitar players, no matter what style we play Jimi Hendrix is an influence. I wish you the best in your musical journey! More organ trio!!!!!
Primo🎶
Thank you!
