ohhh Whisper of the Heart is also my favourite Ghibli film because it's so relatable for teens who don't want to go the conventional path! I love Ghibli's fantasy pieces but this one is just so realistic… also Country Roads has never been the same after this. So excited to watch you draw now!
Can't agree more!! I watched this while I was in animation school and related to her sooo much. I like other fantasy pieces too but this one is very special to me. Also country road just makes me think of this movie too 😁💗
I have a hard time blending when I’m using paint markers but you made it so easy! I personally love Whisper of the Heart and this is so beautiful 💚 You are so talented 💚
Thank you! :D I find it so much easier when you are working on the right sort of thick smooth paper, I also had a hard time using them on regular sketchbook paper :')
Whisper of the Heart is my favorite Ghibli movie too! The plot line and feelings of the characters are so much more relatable. I think that's why I love it. Don't get me wrong, I love all of their other movies too. This one is just so different. Thank you for painting these scenes! They turned out beautifully 😍😍
I’ve adored your work for a long time and it was a delight to find out that you had a channel like this! Thank you for explaining your painting process! While I appreciate speedpaints, it’s really fascinating and enlightening to actually see the progression and your thought process as the painting gets developed. I’m really glad I got to see your channel and I love how your videos have so much substance alongside the aesthetic appeal. To top it off, Whisper of the Heart is also my favorite Ghibli film so this is really such a treat for my heart and soul. Thank you for sharing your work and looking forward to more of your art!
wow thank you so much for leaving such a thoughtful comment. I'll keep it in mind that people enjoy listening to my thought process for these time lapses :D
Angela, this is my favorate Ghibli movie too! I filmed a video to paint with you, my markers do not blend though… I used oil paint instead. Love your paintings.
You did a great job, these are beautiful. I'm a HUGE ghibli fan; I'm especially drawn to the simple human stories. I could watch them over a million times...I may have too 😁
Beautiful! The colors you use and watching you paint/draw are so soothing. I really admire you and your work. I also loved your review for the film. I don't think I appreciated the subtle meanings in certain scenes like you did (like the bike ride uphill) and now I really want to watch it again!
I'm glad you enjoyed the video! I actually didn't notice the meaning of scene until I started writing up this video, it's amazing how much depth there is in Ghibli films :)
I watched this movie again yesterday, this one and Kiki might be my favourite Ghibli movies. Your drawings were amazing, I'll definitely try uni-posca. Going to check out more of your videos, this was great!
Hi Angela, I discovered your work recently and it's just stunning. I'm just starting with poscas, but I'm a linocut printmaker for a living. I always keep away from portraying films even though it's something I would love doing because I'm worried about copyright issues. Is it ok to do our own interpretation of scenes from films and selling them? I can't find a clear answer to this online. Thank you so much for putting these amazing videos online, they're a treasure!
Hi there! To be honest I didn't find a clear answer to that on the internet either. I tried selling some of my ghibli studies as postcards and then I didn't really feel comfortable doing it so I stopped. I think for smaller artists, the Japanese studios won't go after you? So it's up to whether or not you feel comfortable doing something that's in this gray zone.
@@AngelaPanArt I think should have asked this question in one of your Wes Anderson videos, because I was thinking more of live action films than animation. It's probably less problematic, but I'm still not sure. I guess I'll just use them for practice. Thank you so much for your fast reply and for your videos! I just loved the latest one in New York, can't wait to take the course! 🤗

What is the blending marker you use? Is it a type of Posca Marker? I love your drawing!
I don't use any specific blending marker, I just blend with any marker I draw with :) Any Posca ones are good for blending
please try disney films? i love your recreations ❤
Thank you ❤❤
Omg i love it so much
Thank you Beatrice 💗😊
Love it 😍😍
you are very talented

Do you use any sketchbook? In your videos you mostly draw on sheets of paper, but I really would like to see your sketchbooks if you use them..
Hello there 👋 Although I don't really use a sketchbook these days but I have a video about all my sketchbooks from the past 7 years on my channel 😊
@@AngelaPanArt thank you for reply! I will necessarily check it!!
Where did you buy your ekonte books? I tried searching online but for some reason the storyboard books are virtually non existent/not for sale.
I got most of them while I was in Japan, they are available on yesasia, but slightly more expensive 😊
Hi. I actually have nothing to say coz its so beautiful 😍...
