What's strange about Young Sheldon cameos is that we haven't heard voice over's from Penny, Leonard, Bernadette or Raj in either season especially season 7?
The best part about Reba being on the show was that when they did karaoke she was a horrible singer. Everyone expected her to be like her actual self, and when she sucked at singing it was a huge and hilarious surprise.

So Sheldon hates engineering because one teacher would put up with his bs. Basically saying if you're smart I'll challenge you. Shelly poo don't like that so he harbours great resentment so much that he knocks Howard down when he shouldn't. So Sheldon does not like it so other people can't. that's why young Sheldon is valuable it shows what a POS adult Sheldon is, with only hints of niceness.
Only 2% of ppl in the world are geniuses. As difficult as Sheldon is, he's one of them, he's a work colleague, and they all, however begrudgingly, know they need his brain sometimes. They also know he's the best bet they have for CalTech making the Nobel prize list.
