I love how they connected the entire story of this game in Blood Money through the Paris Opera mission. This game basically takes place between missions 3 and 4 in BM

With the new atmosphere, the game recreates them in a better light, so it is welcome. The Meat King mission still haunts me lmao; and the ghost easter egg from the hotel.

If by edge you mean like that bizarre and dark aspect of Hitman then dont agree. Blood Money had many fucked up missions that were very cool. Absolution had the dead nuns but sadly the whole story and gameplay was crap. And the latest trilogy was great with the crazy hospital and the Illuminatti island
Contracts is the greatest Hitman game, but Blood Money is also a true Hitman game and with way more options to kill your targets. I do not like the mission rating in Blood Money but as you continue to replay it, you'll get used to it. The way how I identify Hitman games is simple: Here are your targets, now find a way to kill them.
