My dad passed away in November. He loved Star Trek. He really liked this series too. We'd listen to this in the car going places, and watch the show when I was a kid. I really miss him. I still have his enterprise models he built...
I'm sorry for your loss also. But now take inspiration, like lambaline above. Go out and do something with your interest. Become a pilot. Fly fixed-wing or helicopters. Maybe become a rescue pilot, flying a helicopter ambulance.
I’m sorry for your lost I pray your father is resting peacefully and happily watching over you smiling. You know my dad and I also watched Star Trek together when I was younger. It was like our bonding show. And I’m not taking about just enterprise. It was also voyager, few times the next generation, deep space nine, LOL my dad and I laughed our heads off when quark accidently got to Siskos office through that vent thing. Jeffery tube? Forgive me if I pronounced wrong. And say. “Must of taken a wrong turn” lol and we loved that Star Trek movie insurrection if I remember correctly and we loved the part where Picard and worf were chasing data and they started singing “British tar” lol I would sing it with him and lol he called it “the data song” lol Star Trek is a good show for a family to watch. Idk why I wanted to share that with ya to tell ya my dad and I loved the show to and it was good times. Guess what I’m trying to say is treasure those memory’s with him and keep on going.

I remember someone an astronaut said chuck was the greatest pilot he ever saw . Apparently in ww2 his first engagement he shot down 6 enemy aircraft. Day one no experience.
some say the opening theme song is cheesy or that its not Star Trek, but what we all must remember is Enterprise was Human's first intergalactic venture and so much closer to our modern understanding of science and space than Voyager or TNG, which is why you have a montage of Earth achievements and the first starship blasting away from Earth orbit. Its meant to elicit an emotional response that keeps you from thinking too far into the fantastic future.
Inter-stellar, not intergalactic. They never left the milky way Galaxy except in weird and one-off circumstances. They didnt have the resources to travel between galaxies
I was absolutely in the camp of "why the hell is this cheesy 90's christian rock song in my space show" Now after 8 episodes I'm like "I'VE GOT FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAITH-"

Five years ago I woke up in a hospital with an electronic heart (LVAD) and it felt like my life was over...but my wife and son stood by me...and on the 9th of November i received a heart transplant...it wasn't an easy road...but nobody gets out of life without a few scars...visible or not...i was out for five days, when they revived me...i was so anxious that i didn't sleep for two full days (i couldn't)...but on that third night i did sleep for a couple of hours...and as i woke up from a restless type sleep...this song kept running through my head...uncontrollably and non-stop...i spent years thinking about my mortality at every turn of my days...but i pushed back...and now i'm a real boy again...i never lost hope...even in my darkest moment...thank you for the time...don't bend or break...keep your faith...and push back...
Oh Enterprise is right up there with Next Generation for me! Love the dynamic character of Archer the most. The show really exemplified that sometimes there are no morally right choices in life, that sometimes both choices are horrible but a choice must be made regardless.
Holds a special place in my heart, My daughter sang this at her high school graduation and had the auditorium on it's feet cheering...Nailed it Daughter.
When my son was born and I was too afraid to let him sleep unattended he used to sleep on my chest. My wife had some complications from the birth, and I had to do everything. I really thought this was a tacky opening, but as I watched the show more, it really grew on me because of just how well it applied to the show... starfleet's first steps, and all that.
Knick-Knack Jack I loved this from the beginning....used to stay awake for only this shows reruns glad it's on Netflix ...otherwise I would have to find alternative ways to watch it lol
It is so fitting, but also controversial as it's the only theme with vocals. But it speaks for the whole franchise. Every new step into the unknown is a risk, but someone has to take it. And those that do often do it on faith alone. Not necessarily in a religious faith, but faith in themselves, their companions, their technology and the people waiting for their return.
Was my favorite show out of the entire franchise. Just something about our early struggles and baby steps into inter-steller space that really clicked with me. Also, the intro~ So many feels.
Sorry about your father, mine, while still alive is a giant Star Trek fan, he's actually the reason I've decided to write a Star Trek book. You should know your father is always with you.
+George Davies It was a change from the pure instrumental, and it's a cover not an original, which took some getting used to. But it describes the time of ST:E perfectly, and IMO describes the present. We are constantly pushing the envelope. Perhaps not as much as the Apollo days, but with commercial space flight coming online every launch is a gamble. Will we fail crash and burn, or will we prove that private enterprise can go where national governments dare not? That is the today we are living it.
grew up wtching star trek with my dad. bittersweet thoughts. he passed away 4 winters ago. when i watch it now, i can almost feel him next to me. I love you dad, and miss you so so very much. :'( this song kills me.
Loved this song from the first time I heard it. It really represents how you can reach any goal as long as you have faith, determination and a willingness to make it happen. I wish this show had gone on longer, I totally loved it.
That's my hope too. I just pray we get there without WWIII. In Star Trek it set us back many decades. I hope reality is better and can skip the destruction and horror of another war.
i dont know why this song touches my heart, i mean the song with the intro... sharing human technological advances to reach the warp motor its so emotional. I really would love to live in a society where theres no war, hate etc... and just focus to travel the universe and meet some new races. God bless Star Trek "...I can reach any star..."
Gracias Capitán Archer, cada capitulo de la serie tenia un mensaje y una enseñanza. Larga vida y prosperidad a ti Capitán y tu tripulación... Thank you Captain Archer, each episode of the series had a message and a teaching. If I had to travel to the final frontier, I am clear in which ship and which crew it would carry, only with you I could reach the stars ... Long live and prosperity to you Captain and your crew ...
After all this time spent building my first boat I know 2 things. 1 what her name is gonna be, Faith of the Heart. 2. What is gonna be playing as she launches, and as sail away.
I used to watch this with the truest friend I've ever had, or ever will have; Daniel J. Marchand. We were brothers in every way but blood. He was killed in a motorcycle accident, September 2018. And now I just can't watch it anymore. Maybe again someday. I miss you so much my brother....
One of the best TV show intros ever. Beautiful, uplifting music in conjunction with inspiring, uplifting imagery of discovery, hope and progress. Truly, truly spellbinding.
I mean... I kinda disagree. I watched all of Voyager, family tradition, then we went excitedly into Enterprise and... After season 1 time travel began to get super old...
@@MistsMagic The problem was they effectively "wasted" the general good faith of both the core audience (Trekkies/Treckers) as well as the more general viewing audience during its first and second seasons; by the time it started getting better with season-3's war arc and then properly better in season 4, there wasn't really anybody left to support it. In that context, it really *was* a shame -- they were really getting it generally together but then learned to late that unlike in previous decades (80s and 90s Trek), you don't have a season or two to "figure yourself out", so to speak, and you have to pretty much hit the ground running. (Lest we forget how generally bad seasons 1 and 2 of NG were -- especially in hindsight -- and the same/similar with Voyager (though that one had issues on-and-off its entire run); DS9 was the most overall solid of those shows, but it too had its stretches of clunkers here and there.)
@@tideoftime DS9 bored the tar out of me. It was horrendous in my mind. I loved Voyager, but I have a nostalgic bias there and I happily admit that. I love NG, even the early seasons were great. And yeah, some episodes crashed and burned. But that's life. But Enterprise to me and my family, was great in season 1. Then just went downhill. And I personally cannot stand TOS.
I've been a Trekkie from jump. My friend, rest her soul, would tolerate Star Trek. Just for me... But this theme, was her fav.. She'd sing it and when I hear it now it have good memories...... Thanks, GUYS.......
NX-01 Enterprise, the very first Warp 5 Human Starship on Earth. This song perfectly matches that anybody can achieve anything and the strength to reach the stars without anyone's help before the founding of the United Federation of Planets in 2161.
Thanks. My life just got a lot harder. I have no work and am in a Clan cold war that's heating up fast. I really needed this tonight. At least my brothers in the 335th have my back.
Same for me. As someone who loves the Jerry Goldsmith style orchestral intros I really didn't like ST:E's intro music at all. But after about 5 episodes I loved it. Now it's just as iconic as TOS's or TNG's theme tune for me. Sadly however, I can't say the same for Discos or Picards intro.. which, are just bland. ST:LD is great tho!
I used to hate this song. Then I started to watch Enterprise to see the whole series. I'm on season 2 now and I always sing along with the theme plays😁
If I ever launch in a rocket to orbit, I will demand that this play in the background. I've given my life to space and every word of this song speaks to my dedication to the pursuit of human achievement against everyone's expectations of me living some kind of "normal life"
I just recently started watching Enterprise after seeing the next generation a year ago. During the first episode I was like: What the hell is this crap!? Now I got the damn thing on loop, it fits very well with the early exploration theme of the serie.
Sadly, by the time the show was figuring out its identity and was becoming something truly great they decided to cancel it. That being said, the theme song was never one of my problems with this show. Had it played as my best man, groomsmen and I entered the church at my wedding 4 years ago. :p
You can't go backwards on these Star Trek series I discovered. Being a newbie, didnt realize so many made at differing datelines. So jumped from the Original to Next Gen. Guess I go DS9 next
@@DesertlizzyThe Never seen the original show at its entirety, though I am sure I would like most of it. DS9 put me off with its first episode or two. But it is actually up there with Next Gen, just a different tone.
If we ever do end up as a space-faring race, who else thinks they should play this song while the first ship launches, if only for the opening lyric? It would be *_Amazing_*
Look at it this way: If and when I manage to get on such a ship, I'll most likely play this song. And if not me, then someone else. Someone's bound to do it. Because it's so fitting.
Just started binge watching Enterprise from episode one; didn’t realize I missed so many episodes of the first season. Such a well done show, and Scott Bakula is great in everything I’ve ever seen him in. Should have run more than Four seasons. Forgot how much I enjoyed this theme song.
Lyrics: It's been a long road gettin' from there to here It's been a long time but my time is finally near And I can feel a change in the wind right now Nothing's in my way And they're not gonna hold me down no more No they're not gonna hold me down Cause I've got faith of the heart I'm goin' where my heart will take me I've got faith to believe I can do anything I've got strength of the soul and no one's gonna bend and break me I can reach any star I've got faith I've got faith faith of the heart It's been a long night trying to find my way But through the darkness now I'll finally have my day And I will see my dream come alive at last I will touch the sky And they're not gonna hold me down no more And they're not gonna change my mind Cause I've got faith of the heart... I've known a wind so cold I've seen the darkest days But now the winds I feel are only winds of change Oh I've been through the fire and I've been through the rain But I'll be fine Cause I've got faith of the heart... I'm goin' where my heart wll take me and I can reach any star I've got faith I've got faith faith of the heart It's been a long road
Again, I don't think it was a good Star Trek theme, but I do know, especially at the time in light of 9/11, it was the song I and the country needed at the time.
People who hate on this show mystify me. It takes place during the United Earth era; Pre-Federation. Its literally, historically speaking, just coming off the war torn era that only ended with Phoenix, Cochrane, and first contact with the Vulcans. A single century isn't that long ago. The voyages of the NX-01 Enterprise represent humanity finally reaching a collective maturity...but its the maturity of of one who has just come of age. As such, you can't expect for this crew to display the same confidence, ease, and skill of a Kirk or Picard. Instead, you have the impatient but eager Archer who's more Air Force jockey than Starfleet. And this theme is thus perfect. It embodies humanity's first, excited steps into the cosmos beyond the solar system.
If it wasn't for star trek particalruly Scotty, I wouldn't know what to study for college, because of that character, it helped me realize I wanted to be a mechanical engineer, do something great with my life
I used to hate on the series because i was a fool........... the show is amazing and now. I ended up loving the song. And I feel that that this song made me a better person. Please anyone...... dont put it off. Change is difficult but you end up embracing it
I love this song, i love this... Show (TV Serial) and in period of 5 years, i watching all episodes, with 110% cool feelings.. Everytime! TY for this video! (Y)
This show had a slow start, but the last two seasons are really good. The intro was such a departure from how Star Trek intros normally are, but it's fitting for the undertaking of a new adventure. It fit the show.
I never thought I could love an Enterprise captain more than Picard, but Archer is the best, as is the amazing T'Pol. It's just more 'human' and believable, and this song encapsulates that humanity, as well as the early struggles of warp travel. This version of the song is lacking the lead guitar licks which are there on the TV series, and they really lift the song to where it should be.
I just finished watching the show today. I decided to look-up and listen to this intro just one more time. And I have to say all of the Star Trek shows are unique in their own way and have made their own impact on me. But this specific show has just...stuck to me in a way that I can't describe. I love this show, it will always have a special place in my heart forever.
I personally love Enterprise, this song and the opening as a whole. It did a great job bridging the gap between our world and the Star Trek world and our world. Enterprise is so much more relatable. I don't think I ever saw a wrench on TNG, just "magic wands".
Hit the nail in the head! I know reviews were mixed, but in retrospect, having that bridge between what we know now and all the trek stuff far in the future that seems impossible is so important!
I wept when I first saw the premiere of ENT. The vocals were startling for being there, but listening to them, and watching the intro was an expression of something I yearn for. I'll never step foot off Terra Prime, but I hope to see people on Mars before we all kill each other.
I love this as a theme song!!❤! I heard when it came out that there was a nasty backlash and a petition to change it. ??? I think they were upset because it was different than then other Star Trek shows and there are lyrics and vocals. I guess some people can't handle emotion. I think it brought heart to envisioning our possible future.
I can reach any star I've got faith, faith of the heart faith in Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior who gives me salvation and eternal life thank you for the Gospel, that good news you died for my sins, you were buried for me you rose from death for me i believe in that i believe in you I love you Jesus and thank you for everything Amen!
Cheezy, but in a bad time i was almost lost, this song came on by chance. Today i have a daughter, wife and another child on the way. Thanks to this song im still here.
This was the best Star Trek

@@jimmymcpherson2679 Youre right, thx for reminding me
At the time the song sounded dated by 2001 standards. I remember a lot of people criticizing it for sounding like it came out of the 80's.
I was absolutely in the camp of "why the hell is this cheesy 90's christian rock song in my space show"

My Love For this one has Grown as well , Compared to whats going on with Trek these Days , This is a God Send 🖖🥰👍
It was altogether different. The song REALLY had to grow on me, but I can appreciate it now. And the show itself, I absolutely love it 🖖

2. What is gonna be playing as she launches, and as sail away.
I LOVE that...
"May you have fair winds and following seas"
Is she done?
did you sink

Love this song and Star Trek
Enterprise is the best trek. You can't change my mind.
I think the best Star Trek series is the one in Space.
I used to watch this with the truest friend I've ever had, or ever will have; Daniel J. Marchand. We were brothers in every way but blood. He was killed in a motorcycle accident, September 2018. And now I just can't watch it anymore. Maybe again someday. I miss you so much my brother....
Stay strong, your friend is in another dimension. Never far from your side.He is always in your heart as you are in his heart. Stay safe.
Remembering your friend today, singing along with something that connects so many people.
Sorry for your loss but watching it now should hold good memories that you two shared! God bless and live long and prosper! 🙏🏻✝️🖖🏻😢
Chief. Rides matches never had acedtds unlike evert ejse good mog know em's I kns
One of the best TV show intros ever. Beautiful, uplifting music in conjunction with inspiring, uplifting imagery of discovery, hope and progress.
Truly, truly spellbinding.
I'm 36. I grew up with Jim and Jean-Luc. I like the monologue. But, I'm not so backwards to not like this.
Gene's hope for humanity.
Gene's hope for humanity
@@jameslitzenberger2923 As a 21 year old man, this song will always hit. Way harder than you describe. Thank you for your opinion.
Loved the theme also loved that unlike Janeway, he took his Beagle with him. She left her puppy at home. To boldly go where no dog has gone before.
Idk why but this song makes me emotional
Same
my dad’s favorite series. rest in peace, dad. ❤️❤️
cancelled too soon, such a shame.
Yeah, we missed out on the NX refit and the 1st Romulan-Human war.
@@MistsMagic Nah DS9 was by far the best.
I've been a Trekkie from jump. My friend,
rest her soul, would tolerate Star Trek.
Just for me...
But this theme, was her fav.. She'd sing it
and when I hear it now it have good memories...... Thanks,
GUYS.......
You know, those guys really came a long way from there to here. - Riker
When I was going cold turkey, when the pain and suffering got hard, I used to play this couple times in the background , it really helped.
NX-01 Enterprise, the very first Warp 5 Human Starship on Earth. This song perfectly matches that anybody can achieve anything and the strength to reach the stars without anyone's help before the founding of the United Federation of Planets in 2161.
all it takes is fokus and discipline.... and logic
well, u forgot to mention the Vulcans...
@@jacobs-corner hmm. Yeah that the vulcans set us back a few decades
@@jacobs-corner
They held us back and were dicks to Archer's dad.
Yes and I swear anytime I feel the world knock me down this song gets me pumped up.
I understand and agree

Thanks. My life just got a lot harder. I have no work and am in a Clan cold war that's heating up fast. I really needed this tonight. At least my brothers in the 335th have my back.
Cool
We all need to work as hard as we can to make the warp drive idea a reality.
Me a year ago:
This song is lame
1 year of STSP later:
FAITH OF THE HEAAAAART!
I know, Right? 😁
LOLLLLLLL. Almost choked on my water when i read this... i still hate it but less then I used to
I used to hate this song. Then I started to watch Enterprise to see the whole series. I'm on season 2 now and I always sing along with the theme plays😁
Yes I hated it for years and now I’m a die hard fan.
Long live Star Trek Enterprise!
Supposedly there's an entire ENT-themed fleet on Star Trek Online.
And may she fly high in our hearts forever and ALWAYS peace live long and prosper 🖖
If I ever launch in a rocket to orbit, I will demand that this play in the background. I've given my life to space and every word of this song speaks to my dedication to the pursuit of human achievement against everyone's expectations of me living some kind of "normal life"
What, not Magic Carpet Ride?
This is a fantastic song!
I just recently started watching Enterprise after seeing the next generation a year ago. During the first episode I was like: What the hell is this crap!? Now I got the damn thing on loop, it fits very well with the early exploration theme of the serie.
Exactly. So many people had negativity to it, but they didn't give it time to grow into it. I did and I love STE.
Awesome theme song, realy suits....
If we ever do end up as a space-faring race, who else thinks they should play this song while the first ship launches, if only for the opening lyric?
It would be *_Amazing_*
*while it launches.
@@NeoTechni Fixed, thank you.
I think that honor should go to the original Star Trek theme.
Look at it this way: If and when I manage to get on such a ship, I'll most likely play this song. And if not me, then someone else. Someone's bound to do it. Because it's so fitting.
John Smith nah save that for the first FTL ship.
When I Am alone and the prevailing force above does not appear to walk with me this song encourages me.
Just started binge watching Enterprise from episode one; didn’t realize I missed so many episodes of the first season. Such a well done show, and Scott Bakula is great in everything I’ve ever seen him in. Should have run more than Four seasons. Forgot how much I enjoyed this theme song.
Trek reminds me to have faith in humanity... Thank you for inspiring me...
I remember my parents would always be watching Star Trek and I'd just come in for this theme song, I love it so much T.T
I used to watch this show just to hear this song! Awesome!!!! but of course I'm also a Trekee
Wonderful lyrics...and, of course, unforgettable Star Trek - Enterprise!!!
This is one of my fav songs, beautiful and captivating
When I'm down this always lift's me up thank you
Norma Heard This is the theme song for life.!
Played this on my moms funeral, this was her favorite song and most favorite tv series ever. Love you mommy
Lyrics:
It's been a long road gettin' from there to here
It's been a long time but my time is finally near
And I can feel a change in the wind right now Nothing's in my way
And they're not gonna hold me down no more
No they're not gonna hold me down
Cause I've got faith of the heart I'm goin' where my heart will take me
I've got faith to believe I can do anything
I've got strength of the soul and no one's gonna bend and break me
I can reach any star
I've got faith I've got faith faith of the heart
It's been a long night trying to find my way
But through the darkness now I'll finally have my day
And I will see my dream come alive at last I will touch the sky
And they're not gonna hold me down no more
And they're not gonna change my mind
Cause I've got faith of the heart...
I've known a wind so cold I've seen the darkest days
But now the winds I feel are only winds of change
Oh I've been through the fire and I've been through the rain
But I'll be fine
Cause I've got faith of the heart...
I'm goin' where my heart wll take me and I can reach any star
I've got faith I've got faith faith of the heart
It's been a long road
Per aspera ad astra
Thank you!💕👍
Again, I don't think it was a good Star Trek theme, but I do know, especially at the time in light of 9/11, it was the song I and the country needed at the time.
Met the greatest man for me
My little brother just asked why I’m listening to a song about Jesus.
It does sound that it's about Jesus doesn't it? ♥️
It's been a long road ... I chose to play this song at one of our early energy trainings in 2004 and it was a Star experience for everyone. Thank you.
Yes then unsc chef got unsc furee tiome trave fir wide girkfrjnd
this song an anthem for all the dreamers out there, kids student, etc
If it wasn't for star trek particalruly Scotty, I wouldn't know what to study for college, because of that character, it helped me realize I wanted to be a mechanical engineer, do something great with my life
You mean you didn't want to study warp field engineering?
I love this song.
Would it be strange to make this my father daughter dance song if I ever get married? XD This show was my dad and I's jam when I was a kid.
Not strange at all...just EPIC!
Please upload the video for us
Oh, that's a lovely idea!
Nah kill it it’s a great song wouldn’t be weird at all
Beautiful song beautiful voice!👏👏
I used to hate on the series because i was a fool........... the show is amazing and now. I ended up loving the song. And I feel that that this song made me a better person. Please anyone...... dont put it off. Change is difficult but you end up embracing it
Tenchzen know this comment is 3 years old but I feel you!
Me and my husband loves a song first time I heard it it was on Star Trek I fell in love with it keep up the good work
I never thought I could love an Enterprise captain more than Picard, but Archer is the best, as is the amazing T'Pol. It's just more 'human' and believable, and this song encapsulates that humanity, as well as the early struggles of warp travel. This version of the song is lacking the lead guitar licks which are there on the TV series, and they really lift the song to where it should be.
Great song, Star Trek Enterprise is very under rated TV series. I have watched it 4 times. Love the characters.
My favorite Star Trek series.
My only complaint is the faster seon 3 and 4 version. I prefer the 1 and 2
I wept when I first saw the premiere of ENT.
I can reach any star
I've got faith, faith of the heart
faith in Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior
who gives me salvation and eternal life
thank you for the Gospel, that good news
you died for my sins,
you were buried for me
you rose from death for me
i believe in that
i believe in you
I love you Jesus and
thank you for everything
Amen!
I loved this show. Don't understand the hate so many have for it.
Cheezy, but in a bad time i was almost lost, this song came on by chance. Today i have a daughter, wife and another child on the way. Thanks to this song im still here.
I have watched around 300 hours of Star Trek, so I'm still on DS9. I can't wait until I get to Star Trek: Enterprise.
Amazing show, i saw it all in 2021, now i'm in love with star trek
