Hulk's obligation is even worse than you thought. You read it as "you may change to Bruce Banner" when it actually reads "change form" with no "may." You MUST change, no matter what side you're on.
I think solo rewards "Jack of all Trades", but it's probably limiting the variety and design space too much to make every hero equally strong for solo play. With the current card pool, I'd say Hulk is perfectly fine for everything above 1 Player.
It’s time for FFG to fix this wrong…3 ways…1) refresh the way Arkham Horror does paranormal decks, 2) Make Grey Hulk, or 3) “Thing” from Fantastic 4 is the “Hulk” we always deserved.
I kind of doubt we’ll get a parallel Hulk. Grey Hulk is maybe more possible. Thing could be cool, though I feel like Drax is already what Hulk should have been. Maybe we’ll get Brawn or Skaar one day.
He’s acceptable in multiplayer but not much more. The pack has so many venerable cards that he’s a must buy for deck building. Clever. It’s been reported he was nerfed heavily late in production. I would dearly like to see what they were working on before the hammer fell. My suggestion would be to add a new Hulk and maybe some modded cards to their OP packs. Fat chance.
Yeah, they’ll never go back and admit they need to fix some cards or whole decks. Maybe- probably not, but maybe- they’ll give us a Joe Fixit or something down the line.
Yeah! At the very end of the video, I give a few specific examples of Hulk “fixes!” Honestly, he’s not as bad as he was on release. He’s benefited a lot from the deepening of the card pool.
@@thegrouchynerd I used some of your tips but I feel like he hasn't gotten to the point that I can reason playing him for any other reasons than I like Hulk and I want justify my purchase.
@TheOlops yeah, I think that’s still the best part of playing the Hulk: it’s the Hulk. He’s not really the best at anything. I like him in Protection the best. Aggression is still getting new cards that help deal with Threat, so it’s always nice to pull him back out and see if anything new pops, but, yeah, he’s still not great.
Sadly, yes. You not only need to hone your deck but your teammate(s) need to help you out, too. But then he's fun. Wow, totally forgot how good the aspect cards in this pack were.

Oooof, good catch! Man, that’s rough.

For sure. I’m just a 95% solo player, so that’s how I approach the packs. And he has definitely gotten much, much better with the expanded card pool.
@@thegrouchynerdHave you tried out the ‘Pool aspect with Hulk? I have not, just curious!
@marknemergut8244 I have not yet!
You seem to have made an editing error. THE BAD STUFF marker appears at 9:10 , when it should have appeared at 4:21 .
😂😂

Let’s hope his other cards make up for it- they don’t 😂
🤣

It's pretty heartbreaking that Hulk is...subpar. Any tips that I should consider when making a Hulk deck?

Wow, took you a minute... =}
Haha, yeah, I started with Gamora, and it’s taking a while to get through the backlog!
everyone i know who plays this game all say the same thing: hulk sucks. i now see why.

It’s such a shame.
@jenswunder72 Yeah, he came with some really key aspect cards! Makes him a pack you really shouldn’t skip, unfortunately.
