- UNTOLD way to CLEAN reusable plastic bottles. (WORKS THE BEST!!)
Cleaning inside the moldy area can be hard but in this video you will see it cleaned in instant with ingredient already have in your home.
*We use materials that can easily be found at home.
*Materials are non-harmful.
*Sanitizes
The easiest way to clean hard to reach areas of bottles/containers with no brush.
(In this video we use 5 gallon water bottle to demonstrate)
Lemon, hot water, rock salt, baking soda....all these mixture works brilliantly👍
Wow!!!! We just did this and it is so cool. New water bottles are expensive. Now we can just clean our old ones and save a ton of money.
Yeah, these bottles are expensive but hard to clean, especially when they're manufactured with the handle on the side that acts like a secret cave 😅
I started seeing the containers with the 6 inch opening years after these (in the video) came out. I wonder what the manufacturer's thought on cleaning the original ones was?
Wow.. tried this and within seconds, the bottle was clean .. Thank you so much..
This worked perfectly! Thank you so much, I never would have guessed it could be this easy and non-toxic!
¢
Sharp sand will work too.
Thanks this was the easiest solution from all the videos I watched
Thank you so much for this! It works so much better than baking soda and vinegar!
Baking soda and vinegar really shouldn't be used together, they lose their true effectiveness when used this way. One or the other, not both together. They cancel each other out. They of course foam up and look good, but to a lot of people it gives a false impression that means they are working hard together.
I will try this! Thank you so much for sharing this tip. God bless you always.❤️
Instead of salt you can use sand. With salt I shaked hard and long but it did not cleaned completely. This I put a cup of sand with the same water and shaked just 3 to 5 times. My tank was then completely cleaned.
@@apoun79 try sand once and with just 1 shake you will see the result
Sand from a beach?
@@justinfort6407 no no... The sand used for construction will work.
@@Ankit42aa , thx! One more question tho: where do I find it, a hardware store?
Sand is glass. Sand on the beach isn't actually natural. Its made in a facility and put on the beach. I'd be worried the glass particles getting stuck in the plastic or the plastic getting scratched by the hard sand glass particles.
amazing solved my algae problem on my numerous amount of water bottles thanks!
U can use unpopped popcorn too. Works great!
Best video I've ever seen!!! ❤
Once an abrasive substance is used to clean algae from inside the bottles, it will leave scratches and within a short period of time the algae will form again within the scratches and then quickly spread to the rest of the bottle interior.
I had three 5 gal bottles for several years before the algae began forming inside them, so it`s best to obtain new ones considering they are cheap enough to buy.
Reduce, REUSE, and then recycle as the last measure. I get where you're coming from but the whole point of these 5 gallon just is to decrease plastic usage.
@@jolespin
Recycle, Reduce, Reuse is the biggest scam on the planet! 😂
Would you suggest swishing them with white vinegar on occasion to keep them clean, before they start getting bad?
@@HeidisHereAndThere pretty big if you use vinegar. Even 5 to 1 is a lot of vinegar.
Never use bleach as its hard to clean off the inside surface of the bottle
I wonder if you can use what I is used to clean distillers or if it would be to hard on the plastic?
@@jolespin not sure the point to keep using it if its getting harder to clean.
If you get 10 uses out of it that is pretty good
I JUST PUT HALF CUP OF CLEAN SAND IN BOTTLE ADD 1 LTR WATER REPLACE CAP AND SHAKE . CLEANS IT NICELY.
I just tried same way, except with sodium thiosulfate crystals, worked great! Thanks!
Thanks! Worked for all my water bottles :)
Just use regular dish washing soap. Pour a little into the jug, pour some water, and just shake vigorously for about 30 seconds and then let it sit for about 10 minutes. Then just rinse the bottle out and it's disinfected and clean.
That will not remove that green moss that develops that green film. No, you need something to scrub it off. That’s why you need to salt or some people use rice or corn popcorn kernels.
@@MA-vm6jl yes it will
@@carpediem7654Just tried it with just dish soap, it did not
@@supplespecimen725 yes it does
@@carpediem7654tried it, didn’t

Could this work with Arizona jugs?
It really works!! Thank you so much!! 💖💖
Thank you so much for the tip. It worked for me. May Jesus bless you and your family.
Question for all: If you take a CLEAN one gallon water bottle and fill it with filtered water at a commercial dispenser in front of your local supermarket, why would you need to clean it prior to the next refill? All that got into it was clean water from a dispenser. And you closed the lid every time you took it out of the fridge and put it back into it. The tap water you wash it with, even with dishwashing liquid, is presumably dirtier than the osmotically etc filtered water from the commercial dispenser.
wow amazing....It really worked very perfectly
What can be used instead of coarse salt

What if you got dry brown algae inside your bottle? It won’t come off I’ve try to shake it for minutes!
Buy a new one-
Take some sand in your old socks, tie the mouth of socks put it in the bottle , add little water as nd shake well where there is algae
Raw rice with a bit of water is way better and cleans faster.
Wow super I tried tq mam
Instead Of salt You can Use Scrub Pad( Which is used to wash Dish) ..

can we drink that water??
Of course you can drink it, just like you can drink ocean water or swamp water.
It depends on you if you want to chew it? 🤷🏻♂️
You guys are funny. If it's clean of course you can drink it.
Brainless person 😂
But the slimeyness remains.
Why are you wasting our time using just water when you know it doesn't work? Get to the point! And this music is terrible!
