    You can also blow in later….because I believe you WILL regret no insulation not just for heating but for the heat from the outside in summer…other than that things look awsome

    Hi Nick and Jen. Good to see you today. Good work on the taping and mudding. Apparantly I misunderstood your intended use of the garage space. I thought you were also intending on using is as a shop, with a lift, for project and repair work. If you are intending on using it as a shop in the winter, I hope you don't regret not insulating the walls and garage doors. It will get awfully cold in there and make it difficult to spend any length of time working on projects etc. Just my 2¢ It's always nice to see the kids and Charlie. I hope you are having a good time at the dunes and on your get away. See you on the next one. Larry, Central Valley, Ca.

      Great thoughts on working in the bitter cold winter days in an uninsulated garage. I’ve had to do that many times in my life and had wished the garage was insulated.

    Many years ago I had a house built and the drywall was done before the furnace was installed. Because it was below 50 you could always see the seams. FYI

    i never knew much about drywall & sanding for hours only to have it look like crap after painting until my mother - in law told & showed me the secret of put it on as thin as you can (usually couple layers) but then you only need a wet sponge to level it out. (no sanding neccesary). it made it more fun when sanding & dust weren't involved. luv u kid's.

    You need to rent some drywall tools....2,4, and 8 inch boxes so it will save you so much time...... a bazooka to apply the mud and tape at the same time....I used to do drywall 40 years ago, so I'm sure the tools they have today are much better and easier to use. Good Luck, hope you neck and back make it thru for you!!!!

    Dear young man , MUD is what you observe after rain on your soil around , simply water and soil mixed !! What you are applying to plaster board (not ''dry wall'' or ''sheet rock''' ) is a sort of lime mixture paste stay healthy ..

      I get it too for cost but if they ever try to run a heater down there even short term, the lack of insulation can cause rapid temperature changes in the back side of the drywall and it can condensate. Once that happens, mold will set in eventually. Ask me how I know…. 🤷‍♂️ Hopefully they never experience this issue.

    • @user-ei3ml8jo1s
      @user-ei3ml8jo1s 3 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@Shep5847 just park a couple of hot cars in there during the winter and there is the “heater”. Look at their deck build videos. He didn’t flash the ledger board bolted to the house. Looking forward to the rain running down their walls. Moisture from the outside plus condensation means soggy dryway/mold. Can’t fix stupid.
