So cool to watch this right after Naito finally accomplished his goal of bot only winning the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship but finally doing the LIJ roll call UNINTERRUPTED at the end of Wrestlekingdom 18.

Ever since I was a kid, I always dreamed of one day being in the main event of Wrestle Kingdom.
When I finally made it to NJPW as a Young Lion, I had to work harder than ever before, proving that I can be NJPW's next top star.
After an excursion to Mexico, to hone my craft, I would come back to achieve my Destino. Winning the G1 Climax for the first time, I knew I would be on my way to fulfill my Destino & challenge for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship.
But... unfortunately, my "fans" didn't see it that way, & my dream, my Destino, was denied.
But, when I returned to Mexico, there was a difference....
I met a group of Ingobernables, who would take me in as one of their parejas.
Now, I had a purpose. For me to be the next top star, I just have to be...Tranquilo.
With my very own Ingobernables, no one can touch us, no one can stop us!
It was only a matter of time before I finally won the G1 Climax for a second time, & this time, my Destino was truly fulfilled!
Wrestle Kingdom 12, I finally made it to the main event. The world is now behind me!
Even though I didn't get to the mountaintop, I will be IWGP Heavyweight Champion again very soon!
But, until that time, until my Destino is fulfilled.....

内藤哲也選手の入場曲であるスターダストですがクラシック風に聞いたら何故か目頭が厚くなり涙が出てしまいました。同じ曲でも悲しい感じでたまりませんでした。
In the main event of wrestle Kingdom. A package plays before his entrance with this playing show him as a young lion, his excursion, his return as stardust genius and then ending with his tranquilo persona, him winning the Intercontinental and heavyweight championships and losing constantly to Okada, betting Omega and then at the end his theme kicks in and Naito makes his way to the ring in an amazing attire
This is legit exactly what I imagined, that would be so cool if it happened during a retirement match or something. There wouldn’t be a dry eye in the house

Seeing Naito unable to move well and sadly unable to wrestle at the highest level is so sad. This will be his last title reign and maybe last time as a full time wrestler.

That loss is what made his win at Wrestle Kingdom 2 years later much sweeter, that loss shed the last remnants off the Stardust Genius that he needed to get rid of to beat the man that took his spot.
@@cmurphy0707eh, even with the Japanese fans, it felt like 2018 naito was peaking in popularity. The double gold dash didn’t feel as special as the anticipation did for naito to finish his story. But at least stars in Sanada, Evil, and Shingo were made instead
