I've played solo Rogue for the past 3 playtests and you can literally clear out teams of three playing from the darkness and being a stealthy rat, stalk people from the shadows and ambush when they least expect it, they always end up shuffling for there torches while i pick at them from the shadows! Also that rogue had no pendants or rings or even good gear so he was barely doing the dmg a good equipped rogue could be doing and got lucky they caught him under the two torches they turned off...
thing is if they can't see shit you can;t see shit aswell
@@Mitozzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz you see there outlines/silhouettes because they run for the light like moths and all most all players leave potions on there belts which stick out like a sore thumb in the dark...

That was awesome! I felt my heart skip a beat when you overstepped at the very end there. All this bobbing, weaving, and calculated headshots with the axe makes me wanna try barbarian!
Barbarian is a great class once you get timing, range, and footwork down. I went from 1 to 15 solo with no gear and just my fists. Lots of deaths, only killed a few players, and barely escaped. It was fun and I'm glad I did it.
My experience is 15h in no remarkable improvement when the games last around 2 min and i die 1 or 2 shot against everyone i meet and only feedback i get i no matter what i try, it won't make a difference

What this game really really misses is dismemberment.
Dodge mechanics cus you cant miss with those axes
@@sadface1811 well, you cant really dodge a two handed war axe do you? you can block it tho. they should definitly buff stun/snare/slow spells to counteract such behaviour tho
@@monchyd6519 fr when you block with shield it doesnt feel like a block cuz you cant even attack immediately so it doesnt even feel necessary

Use +10 dmg Axe perk, with throwing Axes and no one will escape or reposition. Each throwing axe connection slows the target
I just found a Rogue counter.
The way you burst through the door with the Axe is hilarious.
This is the first game is 30+ years of gaming where the animations slow and deliberate enough to make me move in my seat. When a skeleton swings his sword at me, I physically move my upper torso away from my screen.
The last time I did something like that was playeing Mario Cart on the Super NES. I would move the controller as the cart turned.

the combat from this game is reminiscent of King's Field, which was one of FromSoft's (Dark Souls Devs) first games.
This game should add physics behind the weapon attacks. It would be so satisfying to send ragdoll bodies across the room when you one shot them as barbarian

I just picked this game up yesterday and what I'm doing so I'll see a group I shut off all the lights in the room and try to hide an ambush then. Kida cool to see I was on the right track and lights make a fight so much harder

i feel like barb is very underrated, even in pve its decent because of the fear. my biggest issue with it is that after a fight it takes forever to heal back
nah not underrated whatsoever. there was so much uproar about how broken barb is that there was apparently word from the devs about removing barb in full release
@@lorddingo8848 that was this playtest, the playtest before that when my comment was made they where considered the weakest, what happend thisplaytest just shows i was right about them being underrated at that point.
The sounds of the brutal axe chopping have mixed so well with my laughs.
Don't sleep on the throwing axes. When they run away chuck a few axes their way.. Completely OP
The felling axe is the key. Otherwise he be getting blasted. Barb has such a monumental reliance on pots and consumes to really do anything.
This is why Barbarians are broken in a away but what do use too attack fast

after trying a few weapons on the barb class, i gotta say the felling axe feels the best, idk what it is but i never miss heads with that thing
is there a block or parry mechanic in the game? besides shields, i havent seen any. looks like the strat is to just swing and hope your weapon does more dmg since theres no reading/punish involved besides missing a swing. no flinch either

this game is perfectly balanced and if you dont agree, then your skill is just bad and your inteligence for the game is too low.. you know you need to actually use your brain to outsmart players right?
How do you solo? Do I need to first go in groups to get gear and only then go solo? Or can I solo without gear from the start?
getting carried is an option yeah. but i would rather just grind by myself.
I built this barb up from solo only, just focus on extracting until you get the ball rolling then you can play it like a BR

Felling axe op 🤷 he's probably fully geared on blue+ stuff in normal lobbies
Got a set of legendaries and purples with great rolls for the last couple days of playtest. I can tell you it was exactly like this lol. The game completely changes for you and you basically just become the raid boss for regular lobbies
crazy barb build i mainly go rogue but you gotta let me know what your using for that cause all i run is solo
20 Rogue is much better IMO. Keep with it. Barb requires more pots, etc to do well. Rogue can make use of this if he wants to, but doesn't really need it, and won't go as far, as movement speed is generally better, and he doesn't have a high enough health pool. But considering rogues get 50% damage coming out of stealth, 30% for stabbing in the back, and can go into stealth and move in stealth up to something like ten feet or some such, as well as the poison stacks of 4 damage a second (Stacking as I said,), you can bring down a barb generally before he can turn around. Just don't panic and shoot your load early. Some people stab coming out of stealth before they are in range.

Imo this axe compared to other barbarian weapons is insanely strong for big damage and quick headshots, since you can just run in like a moron and tank damage
I've done well with a horseman axe and hatchet. Not as heavy hitting but quicker follow ups. I'm guessing he has a high tier felling axe.

Very good gear/ some footwork
He ducks and looks up so his character model bends backwards so they hit his torso instead of his head. He's got great subtle footwork. Also a few times when he misses his swings he turns around and ducks and looks down so his head isn't visible for a punish. Consider he's also probably taking a lot of damage but the HP bar is the same length for all classes and barb has a ridiculous HP pool; so comparing his HP bar with 150HP vs a rogue or a fighter with 80-100 isn't a good comparison. A fighter relies on having a massive amount of armor rating to cut the damage down.
He has a perk that gives him 10% HP after each kill, he uses protection potion wich lets him take 25 dmg he also uses a HP potion and he has great gear. There is not much to it... And the is fighting against guys with white green gear

Yeah, the Felling Axe is so much better than all the other weapons that I am just spoiled and hate playing without it. Look at how fast you can do consecutive hits… Its insane.

i like the follow up of the bardiche, sometimes i wif and they never expect the stab right after.
Just be careful that you don't whiff a swing or you're dead. My personal favorite build is running hatchet and horseman axe, even if its not very viable.
