2. If you don't cut "thru" the tail. Keep it attached then back cut the skin off you get the whole fillet. Then debone the ribs
Then take out zipper by cutting at the tail. Pull 2 sides apart.
3. Cajun is Awesome!

4. As posted before....Make the drive and come fish Saginaw Bay with your crew. Unfortunately no vehicles on the ice this year but quads and sleds all over. Got a 6.5 mile trip planned for Friday!

Loved the last scene eating the walleye in your house. Tons of family, friends, mom, etc. all coming and going, and any and all are welcome at any time. That's why I'm proud to be a Minnesotan! Great stuff!
Those are the pelvic fins. The pectoral fins are the ones on the side of the walleye just behind the gill plates. A walleye is a more developed or "derived" fish in the terms of fish development. A fish such as a trout or another fish where the pelvic fins are located back further closer to the anal fin and the pectoral fins are lower near the belly is considered to have more ancestral fin orientation.
I'll clarify that the closer the pectoral fins are to the lateral line of the fish or "upward" the more derived its development vs the more ventral or "lower" equals more ancestral. Similar for the pelvic fins where fish such as a sturgeon have abdominal pelvic fun position, a trout has more thoracic fin position which is more derived than a fish like a sturgeon but more ancestral than a walleye where they have a more jugular fin position.
