If metal is expensive where you live go to a home depot or like store and buy things made of aluminum, or other metal to use as your raw material. I saw some 6' long aluminum levels the other day with a lot of aluminum and they were not expensive compared to equivelant aluminum costs. Same with screwdrivers, a great source of steel round stock. If you look around you can find a lot of cheap raw material. Even auto parts made of aluminum can be cheaper than raw material...research can locate what you need. A cheap aluminum wheel at an auto junk yard, or ebay/craigslist...also a good resource.
Have been paying other people to machine custom pieces for my motorcycle restoration business. I would like to be able to do this myself. The machine in this video looks to be very capable, Cheers
Hi, the SIEG X2 mill is $1200, Nema 23 stepper motors, drivers, 36v power supply and BOB $600, Ball screws $300 + material’s $300+-. So about USD $3,000 with an old Win 7 computer.
