Do you use it also like a normal tablet and use it on your lap and take it everywhere? Do you wish it was a bit smaller? I’m torn between 11 and 12.9” I want one for my online university as a main device but without keyboard cuz I can’t type well at all. I also wanna use it like a normal tablet for media consumption and I’m wondering if the bigger one is too big and heavy but also if the smaller one would be uncomfortable to write notes with and have live online class..

I ordered the yellow one thinking it was going to be a bright vibrant color. Instead I looks like more of a Gold color. I personally prefer the gold look. Definitely not disappointed but just a heads up to the ones expecting a brighter cream of yellow.

If you mean a case for the Apple Pencil then yes! I personally do find using the Apple Pencil without a case to be comfortable/fine as it is. But if you feel like you need it, especially if you’re going to be writing for a long time, then maybe you could consider getting special case/grip. As for the keyboard, typing just directly onto it is okay but I am considering getting a keyboard since I’ll be using my iPad for various typing uses like school, editing, etc. And don’t feel bad for asking questions, it’s okay!!
No, it is not necessary at all to have a iPhone before buying an iPad. You can definitely get an iPad while having an Android phone. I believe a lot of the same process that can be done with a iPhone and iPad can be done with a iPad and android as well.
It’s up to you and your preference! Obviously the major difference is the size so I definitely suggest going in store and seeing which size you feel more comfortable with.

Regarding the paperlike screen protector, the whole purpose of it is to have a screen protector that literally “feels like paper.” This makes it a lot more easier to write and draw. in the iPad with the Apple. It also feels a lot more comfortable. However, any matte screen protector will do the trick. “Paperlike” is just a brand and a name people give to screen protector such as these.
