My best nursing school study routine! -Make a study guide using the key concepts from your chapters you read -Whatever your book is, use their website! They usually have TONS of practice questions and that’s what helps me the most. (I LOVE coursepoint!) -Vids on TH-cam! Registered Nurse RN and Cathy Parks are my two favorites! Help with not only class material, but ATI/Hesi if your program uses one of those. -I like to print out my slideshows in an outline form and take notes directly on those pages and then transfer them to my binder. As my teacher lectures, I have my book with me and will jot down page numbers so I can have something to reference as well. These are my tips as a third semester student! Best of luck! ❤️👩🏻⚕️

Hi 💕, so I am in my 2nd out of my 4th semester of nursing school! and the most important thing is repetition! i was struggling in the beginning of the semester & now have been continuously passing all of my exams! i love that you write out your notes! i am terribly at writing lol! but at least going over them 5-7 times helps!

Something else that has been extremely helpful for me for exams is doing tons of NCLEX style practice questions!! Have you thought of doing your notes on an iPad to save the paper and time that comes with handwritten notes. I know the muscle memory of writing it out is important but using the Apple Pencil is sort of the same thing. Also try out OneNote (free app) if you want to type and write on it

I use the “essential questions” for the chapter to help me fill out a concept map so I make sure I cover all the basics. Abby Haines hey Abby I’m a sr in hs but I can tell u some things about hs and the other subjects u have mentioned. Ok highschool: don’t take shit from anyone. I’ve stuck to anesthesia as a career since sixth grade and in ninth grade changed my career only a “little bit” which is military anesthesia. With that said I’ve gotten many approvals and disapproval’s from the ppl I adore the most. But if u find yourself wanting to do a specific career then I would advocate for u to email doctors or nurses or any other professional. Shadowing, especially in hs will give u an advantage over others Bc the more you expose yourself in your community the better chances that you have for letters of recommendations. Anything that makes you uncomfortable I would do. Trust me it was awkward for me to go into an OR at 16 seeing everyone who is 30+ yo than me, and especially realizing that I don’t even have my hs diploma non the less a medical degree😂. For college I’d see if you could take college classes in hs ...not just AP, but dual classes -as long as you pass u get college credit without taking a test and hoping u pass !!! For scholarships And your college essay ...do them early !!! Don’t procrastinate bccccc you’ll want to die and then not do well. Which is also another thing, if u shadow now b4 sr yr of hs, u can put ure shadowing experiences in your essay and then you’ll stand out as an applicant Bc not a lot of teenagers intern in hs. If I’m rambling ...lol I’m sry😂😂. I think u kinda get the gest😊
After majoring in Pre-Public Health for a semester, I decided to switch to nursing, but for an ADN. I’m not sure if it’s the same for all degrees; did you have to take an entrance exam? Or was it based off of ACT/GPA?

And how to easily understand the processes? Also I dont know if you had to take the TEAS test before entering the nursing program or not but if you did, what books do you reccomend to study for it? I make outlines for all powerpoints and add my notes into it. I also take TONS of NLCEX questions for each topic. Good luck, you got this!!
