I just recently finished Again the Magic and now I am 3/4 of the way through Secrets of Summer Night, which I am thoroughly enjoying. However, I am still left, wanting so much more from Olivia and Shaw! I was so disappointed to find out that the next installment is not more of their story! I absolutely love how are you give theme songs to each book, brilliant!
Oh my gosh, thank you so much for this lovely comment! I'm so glad you're enjoying The Wallflowers so far! I agree, it's disappointing that Olivia and Shaw don't get their own book. Thanks for appreciating the theme songs. These books are so near and dear to my heart, I couldn't help but think of them in terms of the songs that pop up in my head when I think of the couple. It's super fun, too! I hope you enjoy the rest of the series! 😍
One thing I did love about Lillian is that she essentially saves herself at the end. She picks the lock on the handcuffs and the door and escapes. It was great that Westcliff arrived downstairs when she escaped but she still got HERSELF out of that room. Love that feisty, tough, American spirit. She wasnt going to let herself be a victim.
What a fantastic viewpoint! I'm so glad you shared this. I've come around to your way of thinking on further re-reads of this book. Every time I re-read this series, I appreciate Lillian more. 😍
@@mamaneedstoreadromance I love that he was a rake and she was shy but strong at the same time, so I love when they are opposites but she is not overpowered by him. How he was crazy about her and fell in love overtime which he never thought was possible and she helped him to become better person and I loved their adventures as well. Maybe it was too long but this vibe is what I am looking for 😀
@@mamaneedstoreadromance also I loved The audiobook with the old Narrator. The way she delivered Mackenna’s lines - that broken inside, hurt feeling came out so perfect. If anyone could rival Sebastian it would be Mackenna!
@@Psy_berry I couldn't have said it better myself! I love Mary Jane Wells' performance of the second three books of the series, but Rosalyn Landor does the first three books really well!
I know people are upset that Cam and Daisy didn't end up together but Lisa Kleypas has said in interviews that she made multiple attempts at writing a story between them but it just didn't work because they were too similar, both kind of free-spirited and whimsical. As you said here Matthew acts as a steadying influence for Daisy. Besides, I couldn't bear for Cam and Amelia to have never found each other. I look forward to your videos about the Hathaways!
That's fascinating! I had no idea! I'm so glad that you told me! 😍 I loved making videos about the Hathaways too. One of my favorite families of all time! 😃
Matthew Swift is the worst!! That book's my least favorite of the series. And I LOVE that they removed the drunk sex/dubious consent scene from It Happened One Autumn, I always detested that scene.
Agreed with all! I heard that Cam Rohan was supposed to be Daisy's love interest, but because Lisa Kleypas switched publishers, there was a conflict, so he had to invent Matthew Swift. Can you imagine if she got to rewrite with Cam Rohan?!? (Of course, then he couldn't be with Amelia Hathaway, which would be sad...but still!)
Omg omg omg I completely agree with EVERYTHING!!! (Except for it happened one autumn lol it was my favvv)
Oh I love it!!! That’s a great one too! 🤩

Again the Magic is my fav romance novel. I cry everytime I read it. It checks all my boxes.
Yes!!!! Couldn’t have said it better myself!
Working my way through the wallflower series at the moment.. really enjoying them. Haven't read Lillians book as she grates on me
That’s great! I completely understand your feelings about Lillian. I think you’ll wind up liking her book, at least! 😀
I totally agree with your ranking. I love this series. LK is such a genius !
She really is! At this point, she's still my favorite historical romance author! 😍

Again the Magic was definitely the book that made me love historical romance
What would you say is your favorite type of romance? ☺️
@@mamaneedstoreadromance I would probably go with historical because it did introduce me to romance
Good to know! I remember you saying you liked some sports romance, so I was curious. Always happy to hear your viewpoint!
💯 on Mackenna and Aline ❤ They are so beautiful together!

Also another stunning second-chance historical: Guhrke's No Mistress of Mine.
Oooooh! Adding this to my TBR! Thank you so much!! 😍😀
I fully agree but when Cam meets his wife I like her better for him than Daisy
That’s true. I just adore all of the Hathaways! 🥰
