You are truly THE BEST, Robert. Not only you are amazingly talented, but I also manage to be incredibly nice. I am so blessed to have come across your path, twice in my life! I am very proud to have had the opportunity to work on your beautiful project. Thank you for being this amazing person you are. God bless you, Bara, the the Cosmic Spin music!
You guys singing together is a beautiful sound, thanks for looking into the frustrating other stuff that too often comes between our making music and the listener 👍🎸
Thank YOU, John. I’m happy you like our sound. As you can imagine, I much prefer making videos that focus on the music itself, rather than the hassles and minutiae of distribution and logistics. That said, us indie musicians need every advantage to have a shot at putting our music out that at the highest level of quality. Next week, I plan to be back to the 🎶
My God, what I could hear of "Cool Cool Water" here gave me goosebumps sir. The production and vocals are simply sublime. This is my kind of music. I'm not sure how I stumbled onto your channel. But I'm so glad I did. So many TH-camrs talk out of their butts. But you are obviously talented and very knowledgeable. I could go on. But I have to check out the rest of your posts. See ya!
I love it, slaphead! I’m glad you found my channel, too. I hope you find a ton of stuff to enjoy here. When you’re done, please check out the complete music video of the “cool, cool water” song you liked right here: th-cam.com/video/eSQTHZao41o/w-d-xo.htmlsi=VpGIhn4De5i3smwe. Pretty sure you’ll like most of the Cosmic Spin stuff - lots of thick harmonies! If you stream music, do me the honor of finding us on Spotify, Apple Music or whatever you use. You’ll find my solo stuff under “Robert Cassard” and my duo under “Cosmic Spin.” Cheers and thanks so much!
Hi there, thank you so much for the video. I am a mastering engineer, trying to be able to provide Apple digital Masters. So far, no one has been able to articulate how a studio becomes certified. Do you know how your mastering engineer became certified?
I don't think you need to get certified to get the hi res lossless badge. If you give a hi res file to the disto it will come up as hi res. Apple won't downsample your files. Apple digital masters are way better because of the elimination of clipping.
You may be right about having the High-Res - Lossless designation, but you do need certification to be labeled an Apple Digital Master. (Apple's documentation is thin to say the least.)
I have a question, what happens if I upload a master .wav (-10 - to -11 LuFs integrated) optimized for AAC ( measure with AURoundTripAAC plugin in the master channel) 126kbps totally healthy from peaks to spotify?
Not sure exactly what you're asking, truesearch. If you're asking of those specs would qualify the master for Apple Certification, the answer is NO. The track must be mastered by an Apple-certified Mastering Engineer or Studio.
@@RobertCassard Hi, I think you misunderstood my question. I'm not asking about how to upload a digital master from Apple to Spotify. I'm asking about this: there is an add-on for Mac OS, called AURoundTripAAC, that basically simulates a 126kpbs codec and translates you the peaks that your song would have when converted. I understand that it is mostly used for Apple's digital master, but what happens... if in my mastering I use that tool and optimize a song without peaks for Spotify and not for apple. would it be just as valid? no one has managed to answer me this... it seems as if it is something that no one has asked.
@@truesearch69 You're asking a technical question that I'm not qualified to answer. Perhaps a mastering engineer like @enricodepaoli can help. Enrico, do you know the answer?

THE BEST applies equally to you, Enrico. This has been such a fruitful reunion, with much more to come!

thank you for this video!
My pleasure, Emily. I've done it a few times now...still a convoluted process for indie artists, but at least it can be done!

OMG!!! I need to become another Apple Digital Master Engineer for our home country (+62)
Go for it!
