Great we are going to be stuck smelling Texans and Mormons. BYU fans hated the PAC because they tried over and over again to join the PAC and they were never accepted. Now that the Big 12 has lost all their good teams and replaced them with North West South Central Florida. Hey, why don't we change the name of the Big 12, to something more appropriate, like the MHMC conference. 1 Mormon, 1 Hippie, and the Maga Christians league.

Welcome home? The Buffs were in the Big 8 originally while Baylor was in the Southwest. The middle of the country has no home and your best brands bolted for the SEC. The Big 12 is a half G5 half P5 zombie. Nobody affiliated with Colorado is actually happy leaving behind like minded schools such as Washington, Cal and Stanford. This year hands down the PAC will be the strongest conference in the country period. Colorado is almost in the middle of the country and has always recruited Florida and Texas. However, when the impact of the brand of student-athlete experience is challenged by a lack of leadership within a conference, change is required. Besides, if you look at the data, California is experiencing a major population exodus of people moving to more conservative locations like Arizona, Utah, Idaho, and locations within the Big XII footprint. So, check your sources before making a determination as to what to be frustrated about.

If you care to look at academic literature, you are likely to find that academia requires a balance with athletics in order to truly be beneficial in the student experience. Clearly, there has been very little balance which suggests severe biases within the academic research of some institutions within the PAC 12 in terms of investigative studies looking at the business of athletics and academia, social responsibility of the student experience with or without athletics, and a host of other studies. My point is...the lack of athletic balance to academic research is unsustainable for the academic growth of the student experience.
