Samsung Galaxy is unusable when GPS is turned on (e.g. workouts) - because the battery life tanks immediately. This is NOT a sports watch.
cant agree more, i had the galaxy 4 and until now, this is still a major issue after so many years. it wouldnt even be able to track my whole hike .... and now im happily ever after with my garmin venu 3s
Do you really need GPS to run?
Got my Galaxy watch 6 classic for 2 weeks now... brilliant watch. But hate that I have to charge it daily...if not twice a day. Will be heading to garmin after
which one do you guys recommend to replace my fitbit charge 5?
I've had the Galaxy watch 6 for 2 months. Looks lovely but data is just inaccurate and I don't trust it anymore. Consistently, floor counts is wrong, sleep tracking is terrible (never gets right my wake up time, my hours of deep sleep), hiking elevation gain always wrong, and charging it every single day wears me out. Definitely swapping very soon for a reliable device, Venu 3 will probably be that one
I made the same experiece with my galaxy watch 4, it sucks... venu3 is a dream
Yeah the Venu 3 is a solid choice. The accuracy is top notch
@@FitnessWithFrost total agree! Steps calories and activity tracking is awesome with its accuracy! Galaxy watch is a freakin joke against garmin! And the venu 3 got a solid sleep tracking with this new generation.
Definitely not wrong there. Yes the Galaxy watch is the better smart watch but for any activity tracking it's the Garmin hands down
Yes, I've been wearing Samsung Galaxy watches for a while now, and the one thing I noticed is the step and floor counts are sometimes off. Calorie counter no longer works. I am wearing a much older S3. Now that the watch is older, the battery life is horrible, barely lasts a day. Takes way too long to charge as well. I think I'm going to go with something different for once, Garmin Venu 3 looks good. I'm looking for a good fitness tracker with a better battery, Garmin wins on both fronts.
What about the size? Which is bigger?
Great video
Thinking about venu 3 as I'm extremely unhappy with my galaxy watch 4 classic battery life, recharge every 24hrs but I see things why Garmin is worse 1) No rotating bezel. One of the coolest Samung's feature. 2) Cheap looking, average design 3) No body composition 4) No text to speech feature, which is great for setting quick reminders/alerts. 5) Significantly more expensive. The only thing I see as a huge pro is the battery life. Haven't seen Garmin live, probably should before making a decision.
Had some old Samsung watch and connection with iphone was quite bad. For me the battery life is very important, i really do not want to charge it every day. Garmin is my choice. Also will buy that because of kitesurfing and the Woo connection what it has.
I have the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro (a higher end watch than the 6 Classic) and the Venu 3. With the exception of LTE, the Venu 3 outclasses and outperforms the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro in every performance/sensor category. Galaxy watch sensors are very inaccurate. The Venu 3 also connects to all my NordicTrack and Proform equipment. Galaxy watches, with the exception of their best watch ever, the Gear S3, do not.
Is it just me but Garmins menu is so overwhelming. Its not too much it’s more like the way it’s presented
I can agree with you on that. It does seem to be overwhelming at first, but once you get used to it then it isn't that bad
Too bad I can't do swim training with the Samsung. I looks so much nicer. The way Venu has color on the watch it self prevents it from looking good when changing the color on the arm band. 😢
You can open keyboard on venu 3 to respond text massages or by voice, on iphone just via voice.
Garmins App is soooo awesome. I came from Galaxy watch 4 and now venu 3. Venu 3 is an absolute game changer for health sport and calorie tracking. Samsung cannot handle this at all
I think the Venu 3 now as the ECG app. Perhaps you can confirm.
It does in the US. Elsewhere you need a VPN and some hacks to make it work ( there are tutorials on TH-cam )
Does venu 3 feature snore tracking?
No it does not but it does have nap detection and a sleep coach
Don’t really want one they just don’t do it for me but I am kind of being forced into getting one I am tempted by the Garmin the galaxy doesn’t have a long enough battery life for me.
Does the Garmin watch connect to the Samsung Health app?
no
You can sync both apps by using another app called health sync
But it doesn't sync the steps... Women's health doesn't transfer to the watch as well.. you need to input your data. So, I am bit upset with lack of compatibility and weird design. Had Gakaxy watch for some time until it broke.. so thought that will invest in better quality watch, but hate the design and lack of integration with the phone.
@@airidasiliauskaite8334 you hate tze design... lol why do you buy it then... lol
@@TerminatriX86 Longer batery life, more acurate heart rate readings, gps? I am working out regularly. So it seemed better option for that. Maybe i just need to get used to it
I have the Galaxy Watch 4 (returned in its box for a very long time), it is really bad for sports and this data is not accurate at all. I will never recommend her! Samsung watches for me are over.
Mine is on charger for weeks now. I use it a day or two, and then I forget to take it from charger....and I don't miss it.
I use it only because I have paid for it (idiot), so I feel guilt not to use it.
I have both of them and i like both. But the i like the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic a little more. And sleep tracking and step tracking is more accurate on the Watch 6 🤨
Hahhahahahaha you are kidding, right!?
NOTHING is more accurate on Samsung.
Just look for some scientific reviews.
It's one of the worst smartwatches ever.
@@bojantenja Aiaiai 🤦🏻♂️
I just don't like having to charge the galaxy 6 watch every single day.
Samsung has cut out some feature unless it is paired with a Samsung premium phone, I believe. Samsung keeps going down the fricking APPLE road OMG.
Yeah it is a bit upsetting to see since if this come up
Samsung has ANT +
The Venu doenst even support LTE...
For a lot of people that doesn't matter. But you are right I should have mentioned that
Honestly i dont really get why someone would get the Watch6 without LTE unless he is really into the design. Its not a good fitness watch, it has all the drawbacks a standalone watch will have (awful battery life and expensive mainly) and still doesnt support its only real use case which is replacing your phone when you dont want to carry it.@@FitnessWithFrost
I have Venu 3, and I am more than happy about it.
I also have an iPhone and an iPad. The whole Apple ecosystem, but you know what? I don’t care. I wanted a great fitness tracker with a few smartwatch features like Garmin Pay or receiving text messages, not an extension of the Phone, to spend more time on it, which I think I should already reduce significantly.
I go to the gym or for a run with my Spotify playlist, remain focused and dedicated to the training, and not be distracted at all; then, I can collect all the data I need and make improvements. Not to mention that after four workouts at the gym and two running sessions with the music, after seven days, I still have 15% of the battery
So glad you found a band you really enjoy. I haven't heard anything bad about the Venu 3. I mean other than price, but you are getting what you're paying for
@@Alinho295 I dont think the venu is bad at all. I just dont get why you would compare it to the Galaxy Watch 6 which serves an entire different purpose.
Had the Venu 3 and returned it. While it was good at what it did, I felt it was too bland and girly looking.
Definitely a little bland, but you are going to find it hard to find another device that's going to have that many smart watch features and have such great battery life
Nice girly looking is what I'm going for. Bought it for my GFs bday lmao
I still get 5 days of battery life on my Galaxy Watch 46MM.
5 days? How in the world are you pulling that off
@@FitnessWithFrost Hint: He's not. Unless it's basically in Airplane mode all the time with the screen off.
That's my only assumption as well
Well I don't live on my watch. I just use it for text and call notifications.
But to be honest I don't either. I am pretty sure if I left the watch on but off my wrist it wouldn't last 5 days
