I used to own of these. The reason its chinewalking is because of how the battery placement is setup. The boat is trying to balance itself but with the batteries out on the sides it likes to wobble. I could never sort it out myself but some have been able to with after market trim tabs.
A lot of that water leakage might be from that stock silicone water jacket. I've heard it can leak quite a bit. I installed an upgraded water jacket from Hot Racing before my Spartan went into the water for the first time. I usually only see maybe a few drops of water in the boat after a run.
Mine was doing that today in very calm water, I had my batteries in the middle instead of all the way forward like they should’ve been but, I don’t know if that would’ve caused the high speed wobble, I have already made adjustment to my trim tab last year and it was good then so it should be good still, and I’m using a spectrum radio system and it works pretty good, I have a ton of radio range too, with traxxas radios I don’t seem to get that great of radio range ever.
Cool video. I just bought a new Spartan last weekend. First thing I noticed was the wobble at high speed. Does turning off the TSM actually fix that problem?
You have to adjust that prop. It's angled up too high. That should do the trick however you may need to readjust your trim tabs after you make that adjustment.
Nice runs!
Thanks!! 🙏🏼

Do you need the tabs to push down on the water to stabilize it?
Thanks for that info! Makes sense !

Yes
Going to be trying that this weekend!
I use a Turkey baster to suck out the water, then towel.
