Im looking for something to go in a bug-out bag. Would a baefeng ham or gmrs radio be best ?? I was thinking of the uv5r upgraded or the uv-s9+ but hams seem pretty complicated !?
Can the 1701 make contact with my UV5r…? I had a radio guy once program my baofeng for me before training; he would set the frequency to be able to contact simple walkie talkies the I’ll-prepared guys had; blew my mind!!

You should consider someone with a clear speaking voice for the narration of your videos. This gravelly voice is very hard to listen to and understand!

This may have been better if the voice over guy, actually knew what all the abreviations meant! ie. "mAh" isn't called "Maw"... 😞

The BF-X3 Plus is the best personal radio from Baofeng to date. Waterproof, 8 watt, tri-band, 9500 mAh battery. Cannot be beaten.
