THANK YOU for watching! Don't miss David's full interview with Colin -- it was emotional and entertaining from start to finish. Meanwhile, writer-producer Joseph Mallozzi told "Dial the Gate" about the show's plans to finally reveal the Stargate to the general public ... but the script never got filmed. Watch it here: th-cam.com/video/I3Jj8QZgj9Y/w-d-xo.html
I liked the character. His introduction made you think he was gonna be another obstructive bureaucrat, but he actually turned out to be... well, still a bureaucrat but a really helpful one.
I went on colin's wiki page to refresh myself on a part he had I couldn't quite remember,it was andromeda, and it's amazing how many shows and movies I've seen him in,and enjoyed, over 25+ years! This was a great interview. :)
My first glimpse of him was on X-Files but for some reason his most memorable character for me was on The 6th Day with Arnold. And of course, my favorite character of his is Pope from Falling Skies
His portrayal of Julian Slink was AMAZING! I don't think he gives himself enough credit for being a fantastic actor. He's so versatile and just doesn't fucking age.
Good Evening David, you're up late. No you're not I am. LOL Seriously though this full interview was a great interview because I learned more about Colin in 40 minutes than I know about my own family after over 40 years! David, you and your team, I can't remember them all are without a doubt the greatest at keeping the dream alive. Please pass my thanks to them as well. I'll say again like I did in an earlier post you and your team are doing a Herculean endeavor and a Yeoman's work of putting all this together. Please let everyone else know that I/we don't know truly appreciate everything you are doing. Please keep these interviews going because Stargate in all incarnations is the ultimate definition of lightening in a bottle.
There’s such a fantastic backstory to so many of the STARGATE characters it would be awesome to have new seasons that show them having been promoted (or not - even busted in rank for past misdemeanours to provide alternate paths to specialist skills and talents…..) and having evolved on career paths would be just great.
I always found Major Davis an eternal pessimist. It seems that the only reason to bring him into a Stargate episode was to have someone speaking "doom and gloom" about a perilous mission. - Davis: "My general, I don't want to be the bearer of bad news, but if our calculations are correct, the whole SG1 team has fallen into a black hole and are getting spaghettified as we speak" - General: "We just received a wormhole communication from Colonel O'Neill and everybody's just fine. _ Major Davis: " Oh shoot! I screwed up again. What am I doing here anyway? Who wants to be always wrong?"
Falling Skies is a series set after aliens have taken over the world. Pope was in Prison at the time that the world fell. When the guards just opened the doors to let everyone out and ran, he started a gang that killed the aliens and attacked people for resources. He ends up part of the group trying to survive and cooks for them as that was what he did in prison. He locks horns with the "heroes" often. If you like end of the world type scifi you should watch the series. I personally like it better than SG:Universe
@@Angel-hv3xq here was one of the trailers: th-cam.com/video/SjroVVhe8G0/w-d-xo.html If that is up your alley, the series was a wild ride. If apocalypses survival stories are not your thing, then that is okay too.
@Jeff Davis I get a notification whenever I get a reply, regardless if they liked my comment they are replying to. I only like comments that deserve a like. Ones I find useful or agree with. This is very useful habit since half the time I down vote the person I'm replying to. (I reply a lot in political vids or in any discussion that deal with SJW) And ANYTHING is a bit of a stretch. I say this because SG:Infinity exists and I wouldn't even give THAT the title of worst. Last season of Continuum comes to mind. (though the first 3 seasons were interesting and I liked them) SG:Universe has moments that are better then, and is more coherent than, Disney's Artemis Fowl. Have you ever seem Space Milkshake???

Superb job as always!! Where can i find the full version?
@@TheLuciusM Thanks! The link to the full interview is up in the description.
@@GateWorldDotNet Of course! *facepalm* Thanks!

I think it's because he's just delivering bad news and not the one deciding to obstruct the SGC.
@@RRW359 It was either him or Barrett delivering crappy news.
Absolutely one of my favorite characters from SG-1.
Stargate SG1 was an upbeat show which often left me in a good mood.
LOVED THIS SHOW, still watch them on DVD.
I like how Major Davis stayed the same rank and Carter leapfrogged over him from Captain to Colonel.
I suppose promotion is easier when you are out in the field, and not just pencil pushing secrets in the office ^^
'lieutenant colonel disaster' just doesn't have the same ring to it
well saving the world 7 or 8 times would be grounds for a couple of promotions i think

Amanda Tapping is the mother figure i never had
This is way we all love Amanda Tapping. I'm a big fan of Actor Colin Cunningham Major Paul Davis.
Colin’s Pope character was my favorite in Falling Skies.
He was great as a sleazy, corrupt cop in Davinci's Inquest!
I loved Pope, ended up being my favourite character
@@cypherglitch YOUR THE RESISTANCE SO RESIST!
loved him.
Major Davis was the shit. Colin did great in Falling Skies, too.
This must have been one of the most dynamic interviews I have seen in many years. Congratulations!

He was great in Falling Skies !

Great to see Colin, it's been a long time.
Didn't recognise him in Preacher until a few episodes in. Such a different character than Major Davis but he played them both so well
WE WANT ANOTHER SEASON OF BLOOD DRIVE!

I loved his scenes with Don S Davis.
Wow, he goes off on quite a tangent there, lol.
I would have loved him in Stargate Universe
I really wish Major Davis had a larger role in the series.
This man does not age!haha
I really enjoyed the major Davis character but talk about not being type cast, he barely looks like the same man, yet still in his prime. Amazing

I hope Daniel Jacksons pet Fish make a return also.
Aquascaped by the people in Japan that were trained under Takashi Amano. haha.
Wow he looks so ill! Hope he isn't?
I had the same thought!
So...he’s single? 😉
I don't know, but I am
No he is dating from what i have seen in photographs.
He is hot!
God i forgot who he was....i know the nake but i have no face and his aint helping though
My favorite character he played will always be Pope from Falling Skies, a LONG way away from SG's Major Davis.

Blood Drive, sounds like a poor version of Death Race, but take the piss out of its self.
