Yep get asked all the time if my 97 cobra is a real cobra because it 100% stock so it has the pony emblem as well. and everyone to this day has to ask me, and sometime i even gotta pop the hood so they can see the engine lol.

My ex roommate had one. I fell in love with it. So... now I’m on my quest of saving up and getting one in the near future. I have a 2014 gsxr 600 and the only car that seems to be able to be a match is his 03 cobra. Smaller pulley, tune, basic modifications with borla attacks and an off-road x pipe.. he’s pushing 480 - 500 to the tire which is plenty of power and all you need really to have a good time with it. Too bad he sold the cobra when he moved. One thing though, I do agree with that statement of “you’d be amazed at how many people don’t know what it is” because of the fact that his mom and dad bought it for him thinking it was just a rebadged edition of your generic mustang gt... lmao how wrong were they.

I really don't want to sound disrespectful, David, but have you thought about experimenting with other camera angles? Maybe more front facing angles, or other angles that face you (maybe even through the windscreen)? I know that exterior cameras always run the risk of of falling off, and that replacing or finding the camera can be very difficult, but changing little things like that will stop people from becoming bored when (and this eventually will happen unfortunately) the reviews start to feel too similar. Experimentation will always help to make your videos feel interesting and different, and I know you appreciate and enjoy doing new and different things. Anyway, that's my two cents. I thoroughly enjoyed the review, and I appreciate your work, David. Have a good one!
I think its always good for people to evolve their skills but i dont think its necessary here. Car people wont get bored of dave's videos as long as he's still reviewing interesting, unique and badass cars. just look at matt farah's one takes - go pro on the bonnet and one inside the car and those vids rack up loads of views and are really interesting.

David is by far MY favorite car viewer of this ilk, but that won't be the case for everybody, and David ultimately has a lot more competition due to his style of videos. I'm just saying that while I like his style of reviewing, it hasn't evolved in a long time, and it will come to a point where people grow tired of it as it will begin to feel old fashioned. Look at the old TopGear reviews from 03/04; even if they were using more up to date cars and better cameras, do you think people would be watching it? Possibly, but it wouldn't stop it from looking old fashioned and a bit dull. I don't want this to happen to David's channel since if I like his work, but I also don't want him to start lagging behind because other reviewers have moved on to producing better looking, higher budget videos.

It's the black dot things (whatever they're called). My tint guy put a solid black piece of felt or vinyl or something there, it looked really good. You can't see through it, but it's better than leaving it.
my tint guy put black vinyl over that area and has zero bubbles!! i have no idea how he did it so well! most shops around here just paint it black "no joke"
I had an 03 with a Kenne Bell, and the tint can be done PERFECT on the dots (its called a matrix) if your tint guy cant doit, find another tint guy. The guy that did my car did it with a gel, not the water spray stuff. Dunno if you can see it I have a few vids on my youtube channel with my car might be able to see it in the vids.
Funny thing that you said here that the Terminator is one of the few cars that is holding value. Now at three years later, Terminator values are skyrocketing! A Cobra you bought 3 years ago for $20K would sell today for $25-30K. Pure stock, low mileage Terminators are well up into the $35-40K range! I'm glad I bought mine already.

I love the IRS on my 04 Cobra. I owned an 04 Mach 1 and 6 other Stangs to include Supercharged Saleens. The 04 Cobra is the best driving Mustang I've owned.
I own a 03 terminator cobra with a whipple and let me tell you something..... dam thing is fuuuuuuuun to drive. Have had many bad ass rides but I can't let go of the terminator it's just to hard to even think about letting it go
This is a sick cobra! I missed this reviews on pure american muscle! I knew someone that had an 02 SVT Terminator and he used too place a hundred bill on the dash and say, "If you can grab this before I reach 60, you can have it!" Never got it...... and the Terminator never gets old!

Back in 2001 at the end of the year whenever they were producing the 02, it was in Australia. but they never imported it over here into the United States Domestic Market. Australia ended up keeping the 02 SVT Cobra in their domestic market. However a few rich people in the United States wanted to buy the Cobra for that year and had it imported over here. And my friend that I spoke of just happened to have picked it up from a rich man that passed away. and the booklet said 2002 SVT Cobra. And luckily it happened to be left hand drive. And they also made a 2002 SVT Cobra that was right hand drive that stayed in the Australian Market. You are not the first person that never heard of the 02 SVT Terminator because it never reached our domestic market.
My personal favorite New Edge is the Mach 1. There just is something about that classic shaker hood. It just makes it come together IMHO. And you get that naturally aspirated 32V motor too. Add some boost and you got a quick car. Although at this time I feel they are becoming classics. It is so hard to find a Mach 1 that is bone stock. So boosting those almost seems wrong. The terminator cobra definitely comes in as the #1 engine wise. Power. The "WEEEEEEEEE" factor when you get on it. And I do like that front bumper. (I saw a mach 1 with a cobra bumper at cars and coffee and I didn't know what to do with myself. I was a drooling mess).
I can tell you how to stop all that wheel hop in the irs rear end. full tilt boogie sells a complete rear end bushing kit. we installed it 4 years ago, no wheel hop at all, were up to 890 horses to the rear wheels, that use to drive me nuts, this kit completely stopped it in its tracts. almost went solid axle over this problem, Bam problem solved, just fyi.

The cost to build an IRS to handle big power is around 3k. You can sell the IRS and grab a Mach 1 solid axle and be all in for pretty much what you got for your IRS. Then you don't have to worry about wheel hop, broken axles, clunks or whether or not your wide wheel/tire package will fit. The ride quality difference is very negligible.

David - The Whipples and KB's are twin screws, the stock Eaton and the VMP TVS are roots. You've mixed that up a few times lately. They are both positive displacement superchargers, but they do it in a slightly different way.
David I think you should start doing some more POV angles versus the camera only facing you the whole time. It gets kind of repetitive. Just a suggestion, love your channel bro keep up the good work!

glkmed SN95 is the platform name, it carried from 94-04. therefore a lot of the parts are interchangeable. The term new edge is just pointed towards the facelift Ford gave the mustang and many other cars in the late 90s. It is an sn95 under the skin. Foxbody was 79-93, SN 94-04, S197 05-14
You would think he'd know that, he had a new edge. And wasn't the '13 - '14 still live rear axle? I thought IRS didn't come back until the S550 in 2015?

not an sn95 that's a new edge
glkmed SN95 is the platform name, it carried from 94-04. therefore a lot of the parts are interchangeable. The term new edge is just pointed towards the facelift Ford gave the mustang and many other cars in the late 90s. It is an sn95 under the skin. Foxbody was 79-93, SN 94-04, S197 05-14
You would think he'd know that, he had a new edge. And wasn't the '13 - '14 still live rear axle? I thought IRS didn't come back until the S550 in 2015?
glkmed new edge was never an official name by ford it was just made up by the fans
speeddemon0712 David is right. he means mustangs kept the live axle until 2013 when the last s197 body was released (in 2014 the s550 2015+ body style was released with the IRS)
