  • Yes campaigners are “carrying on” like they did not actually lose the Voice referendum, says Leading No Voice referendum campaigner Warren Mundine.
His remarks follow reports of schools forcing students to make group apologies to the stolen generation.
“The states and territories are now indoctrinating kids,” he told Sky News hosts Danica De Giorgio and James Macpherson.

In the land where courage meets fear's deep call,
Stood Memine, tall as a towering wall.
Seven feet of bravery, a lion's heart,
Yet once, his truth he chose to impart.
In a classroom hushed, he spoke but once,
A whisper amid the silence, a daring chance.
The teacher, offended by his truth so bold,
Challenged him outside, the tale is told.
But Memine, though brave, felt fear's harsh grip,
His spirit, once soaring, began to dip.
He fled from the challenge, his steps unsure,
      Homebound, tears staining cheeks pure.
For bravery oft' wears a cloak of doubt,
In moments of test, we find it out.
Yet even in retreat, courage may reside,
In tears shed silently, in hearts denied.
So let us not judge Memine's plight,
For bravery comes in shades of light.
In his tears, a courage unbeknownst,
In his heart, a lion still, though growth's own cost.

Many say the same thing - no stolen - who came up with this term? For this to end - one way is to release the data on all this to the public, eg. When did it happen, dates. where were the procedures followed. Who was involved authorities and children and parents names please, and all the paper work from back then, how many were involved, where did they go, what happened to them and reasons for being placed in care ‘stolen’. Otherwise this will never stop. If this is all available then can we know where we can find it. Shine the light once and for all.

30k children were transferred to Australia without parents and put to work in convents and orphanages. All went on with their lives although many did suffer in silence. We need not apologise for everything in the past.

The Education system is broken in Australia, The statistics show that schools should be consentrating on Maths, Science, English and Australian History so the same mistakes are not made again. Its refreshing see Jacinta , Danica , Warren and James echoing what most Australians are talking about. The present government is dividing its people by letting things like this continue.

Okay okay. As an African myself who's parents faced the brunt of colonisation themselves, I feel for the Aboriginal people on what they wenr through as we share a common history, but how many apologies are needed? My Aboriginal brothers and sisters accept the apologies and move on building your lives. Being in apology mode forever will not bring about any positive change.

There is voice committees active in NSW via State Government. Semi major developments put through local government now need approval from "traditional" owners of the land as part of the process from NSW Planning department. Sky news you guys need to look into this , along with other voice committees around events etc asking for elder approval. The voice is in full operation people.

Totally gob smacked, from the two Dads comments. Never ever did I think it could get to this level in schools or any where for that matter. I have and have been welcomed by friendship and treat as treated I have no barriers. But all this talk does nothing to solve any issue, other than creating more division and friction. As commented so well by all on the pannel, learn and be taught our real history at school and family, this is the vehicle to understanding. Schools are for higher learing, but are starting to fail us with forcing there own ideas/agenda on our children. Where/whom approved this teaching in schools, is my question?.

It’s just insidious. So glad our son is a grown man and not the age of these indoctrination stations. On the upside I’m thinking parents will either homeschool or will have very open and honest talks with their kids about the truth. I think this has just been pushed a step far too far. How ludicrous making three years olds feel bad. Shame on these teachers. Just showing why I’ve never respected teaching as a profession. Thankfully also it seems younger and younger folk are pushing back on all the lunacy.
