It's where you have to use the ion cannon 20 times. I use all of my ion abilities and nothing counts towards the count. Is this just a glitch? I'm on PS4.
+H DR I don't see there's glitches with any ion equipment, and I hunt vehicles. I usually use Jump Pack, Ion Shot, and Grenade. I destroy AT-STs 20 seconds after they spawn :P

Dulana Gunasena It really doesn't need the 2 shot kill in CQB. It's intended for long distance and should best at that range. The DL-44 already 2 shots at CQB and fills that role.
Spot on for this review! For me I just use this blaster for fun. I like it for the darker battles to give myself a different view but often find it lacks the finishing power needed to rack up kills.
Scarif Landing Pad13 is also a great place to use the X8. You can't win gunfights up close but can def use the night vision to shoot enemy across the water ways.
since watching this video I've gone back to this gun. and I think I've come up with the perfect night watch load out. Jump Pack, Scatter Gun, Focus fire, x8 night sniper and scout. 8 out of 10 matches I do very well with this load out.

Haven't really used this gun, only for completing the hutt contracts. Will give it a try with your loadout suggestion. Will substitute disruption with something else tho. Thank you for another great analysis. Keep it up!

I saw this pop up on my phone at about 1-2 this morning and just had to wat until now to watch it. I personally haven't used this weapon as I don't own the Bespin DLC, but like you said, it doesn't seem to have any real advantages. Another great and entertaining video regardless though.

Fabulous review as always. I just wish the x8 scope was on the t21b or dlt19x or t21 or ee3 or any weapon besides the one it is on. They might as well have put this scope on the Stinger pistol. If Lando had to use this version of the pistol he would've retired.

I am aspiring to get better as a pilot though, so a video on how to dogfight/ specifically shake enemy pilots on your tail would be appreciated. Another question I would appreciate being answered is if you are one of the better pilots on your team, should you just try to go for starfighter pickups if you know you'll be more effective in the air? Also where do you think the match is really won, on the ground or with good aerial support?
Yeah it's silly to throw it on other people, all that does it make it harder for your team to kill them. Throw it on yourself and you can hide while still being able to see/shoot them.

No no no. The A280C and E-11 are good all rounder weapons because their design makes them extremely easy to use, ontop of doing decently in all situations. The X-8 high dmg with low rof is a skill based design that isn't very easy to use.

I love X-8, it works well for me on PC in both CQC, medium and long range combat. Works well with explosive shot but I prefer just getting headshots, night scope makes it easy on long range and low spread in general on all ranges. Sure EE-4 and many others have faster TTK, but you can 1v1 with it no problem without charge cards even in CQC scenario. Slight buff would do it well, but what are you gonna buff to not make it OP if it's already a very versitile skill blaster?
Some Pig Some people won't react on long range fast enough if you snipe them and the scope helps with that on any map. Obviously you have to go for headshots. If you have the high ground it also eliminates some cover for enemies and if they don't know where you are they might take wrong cover and allow you to get that last shot in 8).
Have you noticed a strange shot drift with the X-8 when in third person and zoomed in? It seems like fully aimed shots tend to fly a bit to the right with Lando and I think with the regular X-8 as well.
Another great video! Otaku, all your videos are so great, but why stick to Star Wars: Battlefront? I know that's what this channel is for, but I think you would get more attention if you did some other games (Battlefield 1 for example). This is just a suggestion, I love all your content. The main reason is because there is a lot of swearing, talking to the stream and other stuff that just doesn't paint a good picture for my regular viewing audience. The second reason is that I'm playing the game with the sound on and therefore the copyright monsters will come to get you if you keep it up.
I think you're being a bit unfair to the X-8 here. It's true that it's not the best in any category but it fills a good role as a jack of all trades, being able to perform decently at virtually every range. I've found it especially useful on the Bespin maps since you can go from shooting at a guy 5 feet away to shooting at a guy 50 feet away within a few seconds.
Incorrect. The A280C and E-11 are "all around" or "Jack of all trades" type weapons. In fact, they were the first two weapons that all other blasters were originally based of off. The reason why they work as this, where the X-8 doesn't is because of design. The A280C and E-11 both sport a reasonably good ROF, dmg output, high shots before overheating and very good accuracy. They are extremely easy to use because there is nothing "situational" about them...there is no sacrificing one stat for another. The X-8 on the other hand, is designed with high dmg and low ROF. That alone makes it 10x less friendly to use because of the importance and emphasis on accuracy. Missing even a single shot means you are fucked or targets escape. The E-11 and A280C don't have this problem. Also, while the X-8 may do "average" at medium to long distances, the E-11 and A280C perform average at CQB to medium distance, which is a much more comment engagement range. Essentially, what it comes down to is weapon design. The E-11 and A280C are not just average, they are super fucking easy to use. The X-8 is average, but very hard to use....see the difference?
I get where you're coming from. I haven't found it unreasonably hard to use but there's definitely more difficulty involved than there is when using the A280C or the E-11. That said I wasn't really saying it was the best gun or that it should be viewed as the iconic jack of all trades for the Battlefront series. I'm just saying that it's a little unfair to compare the gun exclusively to targeting rifles in long range and pistols in close range since one of the X-8's strong suits is its versatility.

I think just increasing the dmg at long distance to give it better sniping TTK would be perfect.

I use scan pulse instead of disrupt, it allows my team to see enemies thru my smoke grenades, dioxis and scout
Gary McCray teammates don't get to see through walls only u when it comes to pulse but the droid lets your whole team see everything

What would make it much better would be a bump in damage. 50 at close and 40 at distance.

I am battlefront one and I can use the X8 night sniper very well in close quarters I’ve perfected it I think

Also, while the X-8 may do "average" at medium to long distances, the E-11 and A280C perform average at CQB to medium distance, which is a much more comment engagement range.
Essentially, what it comes down to is weapon design. The E-11 and A280C are not just average, they are super fucking easy to use. The X-8 is average, but very hard to use....see the difference?
I get where you're coming from. I haven't found it unreasonably hard to use but there's definitely more difficulty involved than there is when using the A280C or the E-11.
That said I wasn't really saying it was the best gun or that it should be viewed as the iconic jack of all trades for the Battlefront series. I'm just saying that it's a little unfair to compare the gun exclusively to targeting rifles in long range and pistols in close range since one of the X-8's strong suits is its versatility.

It's a very strong blaster at close range, you can even one-burst enemys.
