You mentioned steel deck will be welded to the reinforcement? What is the effect it will cause to the stirrups? The welding won't weaken the stirrups? You're basically cutting the stirrups due to the welding to connect the deck and the concrete cover for the reinforcement is 25mm, is that enough to hold the deck?

1. disadvantage is the deck will add additional height to the structure since it is above the beam
2. change in floor elevation is difficult to achieve so the part of the toilet will be conventional
I think the top of beam is always the same as the composite concrete floor. The reinforcement for the slab on deck will go thru the beam.

Hindi po ba nabubulok o nangangalawang ang steel deck kapag roof deck o naka exposed sa tubig ang slab over period of time? May nilalagay bang sealant para wag mabulok o magka leak?

I am planning to replace the roof of my bungalow house from gable type GI sheets to concrete roof slab. Can I utilize the existing concrete 0.30 x 0.20 columns to support the new roof slab?
For my opinion sir, no. Kasi po mas mabigat ang concrete roof slab than the GI sheet. Baka di kayanin ni existing concrete column ang additional weight. But you can still consult the structural engineer of your house to confirm.

Hi Mamm Lorna. I am not sure if kung ang apat or anim is sapat na para dito since di ko pa nacheck or naevaluate ang buong structure. What I can suggest is you can hire an engineer to design it para mas sure tayo kung ilang poste talaga ang kelangan. Thanks.

the best pa din ang monolithic but masyadong complicated ito sa steel deck. kya usually partial ang ginagawa sa pagbuhos ng steel deck

it will depend po sa structural design ng structure. but to be safe 75 mm is the min.
Sir, pwd ba steeldeck for roofdeck kasi nabasa ko bawal daw maglagay ng waterproofing kasi nagcreate ng corrosion sa material ng steeldeck.
hello po. not sure about the article pero kasi un waterproofing ilalagay mo naman sa concrete on top of steel deck and di mo naman ito iaapply directly sa steel deck.

Tanong ko lang sir pag magbuhos po ng cemento sa steel deck na ang sukat nito is 24ft x17 ft...pwde po ba na isang portion lang ang buhusan at pag kabukas naman ang karugtong nito...please reply ...kung sino nakakaalam...
pwede naman po. but take note po na may mga allowed na location para sa dugtungan at may design po ito. pwede nio itong matanong sa structural designer ng bahay nio.

hi ces. thanks for the comment. sa opinion ko kelangan mo pacheck in actual ang bahay ko sa engr. kasi gaya ng sabi mo walang column sa baba. maaring makaapekto to sa paglalagay mo ng second floor. di lang un column pati un beam mo. my best advice is patingnan ito sa engr.

nilalagyan po ng epoxy primer ang mga steel deck which helps to prevent from rusting. regular maintenance po will help it to be long lasting

3-4 days pwede na. pero para safe tanghalin mo ng minimum 7 days para macure na un concrete.

Ayos! Mas tipid nga kesa sa plywood and mas maganda tignan. Ang alam ko 400/linear meter ang isang steel deck. Pero, paano po mag compute ng dami? 10Lx7W (Meters) ang bahay na naiisip ko, paano macocompute yung need for slab ng 2nd floor? Good as 70SQM pa rin ba or lesser kasi may makukuhang space yung poste, foot tie at pader and hagdanan?
