SPIRAEA BRIDAL WREATH REJUVENATION PRUNING

This week I am showing how to carry out a rejuvenation pruning on your Spiraea Bridal Wreath. When to do it and how to do it, starting with a general reduction in height followed by eliminating low lying horizontal branches that root into new plants and turn the shrub into a thicket. Elimination of weaker branches, decongestion of centre and any DDDs. Elimination of any satellite shrubs and finally fertilize. I also do a quick recap on how far back to prune spent flower heads on a normal Spiraea pruning. And you get to see what a rejuvenation Spiraea looks like one year after pruning!
