@@MattAlbie yeah I'm still waiting on an anthropomorphic werewolf movie to get the royal treatment. The *_Underworld_* series is the only IP so far to do anthropomorphic werewolves "right" IMO. And even then, they were 2nd fiddle characters. The "they look like regular wolves" troupe is overused, lazy-writing, and boring. And so is the "they all come from native American tribes" troupe. I'll give a nod to *_Underworld_* for at least trying something different. But I agree - Werewolves definitely deserve more love.

@@TheVeritas1 Indeed but I was mainly referring about something outside the Marvel Multiverse because for the way I see it, the monsters from Marvel such as the Ghost Riders , Man-thing, the two Werewolf’s ( John Jameson and Jack Russel ) , Venom, Toxin, Carnage, Scream, K’null or even the Zombies versions from Earth-2149 and other nightmarish universe still have more and more success along with the Alien and Predator franchises now owned by Marvel/Disney while the monsters from Universal studios seems kind of forgotten especially after the failure of the “Dark Universe” in 2017.
Two things: 1. They should've released this on the full moon, which would've been the 15th of November. I might just go see it on the full moon to be silly like that. 2. Frank Grillo better go full werewolf to save his family. It's the only respectable choice.

Cg is a little wonky in some areas. But overall, it’s pretty cool to see lycanthropes on the big screen again. The Van Helsing lycanthrope turns are still the BEST one we’ve gotten.

Van Helsing's transformations were great for sure. Ripping the human skin off and being in straight up agony while turning was perfect. This looks to have some practical effects and makeup so hopefully it turns out decent. And "Underworld's" practical effect werewolves were so good they used it for all their movies lol. And I agree, even though some of the movies were laughable garbage, mostly the last one. 😂
It's nice to have a scary werewolf movie again. And the apocalypse concept works, in a world where we have seen too many fun werewolves, it is a horrifying thought truly.
A werewolf movie made by the guy behind the Silent Night remake? Sold! Even if this movie doesn’t do well at the box office, it already has ‘future beloved cult film’ written all over it.
This might be one of the most unique I've seen in 2024, it's not like From Dusk Till Dawn or the Living Dead series, but a future about humans declaring war on victimized werewolves.
