i really miss the old PAPA. a friend of mine that lived in another part of the US..... he died a few years back PAPA was 4 of the last 5 places i saw him. used to organize trips out there for groups of friends. miss it badly even now, when i am in that area, i'll drive over there and just sit in the parking lot for an hour
This game just got put in my local arcade for Quicksilver. Love how hard it is, it’s overshadowed by Xenon in 1980 but one of the best early 80s risk/reward shooters. Thanks for posting these great gems!
*Bowen:* A gun on the playfield, _and_ on the backglass of all things! *John Wick:* Now I _know_ he didn't just fire a shot at me. But in all seriousness, this is the game I learned to tap pass on. With how important the right side of the playfield is _(especially_ the spinner shot), you really can't afford not to.
As someone who has watched a lot of your older videos... your skills are definitely continuing to improve. Hopefully, one day, I will master the drop catch as you have. I never considered the little bump on the flipper making it difficult to line up shots in Frontier. You always point out subtleties that everyone else overlooks. Good work and good score. 👍 I guess I'll go ahead and ask... what is the theory and timing behind a good drop catch?
Look up AbeFlips who has much more detail on this. You are deadening the ball's momentum, like a baseball bunt when the hitter pulls the bat backwards just as the ball arrives.

Nice to see Keith's pic on the back glass. He deserves it.
Thanks, love the explaination of your techniques!
thanks and congratulations! keep up the great work
Thank you. Please continue making more.
This era of pins is so underrated, so much fun.
Bowen tutors for the win - thanks guys !
Omg what is that froggy-crickets sound? Driving me nuts.
It actually the "soundtrack" of the machine (we‘re taking pre music era pinball here). It indeed gets old very quick…
@@StimpyThe1 It gets awesome very quick!
Best tutorials on TH-cam.
Another great tutorial! I appreciated the call-outs to 8 Ball Deluxe and Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Lots of crickets at Pinburgh, played this game 3 times
Thank you to the patrons who help fund these amazing videos, and thanks to Bowen of course.
I own this game, but I’ll probably watch this video 10 times cause of Bowen!! The Casey Kasem of pinball tutorials. 🏆
Oh boy, a new tutorial by Bowen - this‘ll be a good day! Thanks :)
Master class in nudging.
always wondered if Bowen plays virtual pinball tbls and what his opinion is on them ..
THE CRICKETS
The PCP warehouse ? Holy shit I need to go there haha
Sure, Frontier is cool and all, but when are we getting a tutorial on that Fire Escape behind the Congo?
I need to bring it to PCP
Play with new flippers too : ACDC Metallica ...
😎
Game looks fun but I’d certainly mute the sound after a bit lol.
PAPA BAYBEEEE!!!!

I enjoy your tutorials. Do you have plans to ever do a tutorial on Godzilla?
CGC should reskin this to make Django Unchained as a follow up to Pulp Fiction Pinball - playfield just needs a saucer target and a Roll Scene.
I would last about ten seconds before I walk away from this. Crickets? Whose idea was this!
PCP Warehouse??? I want to be invited to hang out there.
wait you got banned from there?? must have finally been too much yacht rock
I love your tutorials bowen, but i'm pretty sure you had some crickets joining your commentary
why did it have to be snakes?
