Most here speak like DJ had no support , O line, descent RBs or play makers. He was drafted #1 and was expected to come to NY which is a media cauldron and perform. He showed glimpses of hope but for some reason his head was slower than his feet and his arm couldn’t spin it past 30-35 yards down field. The guy no doubt worked hard , and did his best to learn the game , but for some reason was always a step behind and showed no improvement year by year. The most puzzling was what Eisen recently spoke on, the dude was notorious for missing wide open receivers and consistently missing bad on throws. So whose fault is that when a pro QB doesn’t have the football IQ, can’t find the open receiver and when he does he blazes the ball over his head? There’s no Big Blue fan that will say he wasn’t a class act , and we don’t wish him well. But holy 💩 these last 6 years have been tough for us to watch our team not even be competitive. I’ve traveled nation wide only to walk out of a foreign stadium and back to my hotel by halftime time and time again. Several years ago , cowboys destroyed us like 38-3. Even if we take out last year when he was injured, this is a man who in 4 seasons had 54 games (53 games started) 64% completion (not bad) 60 TDs (awful) 34 INTs (awful) 214.9 Yards/Game (awful) So.. we have a guy who is a checkdown artist. Jones is absolutely to blame for the Giants' struggles. He has a noodle arm and is incapable of reading a defense.
Jones scapegoat--Like he said he took full responsibility for not enough wins. Receivers should take full responsibility for not getting open and dropping numerous passes, kicker should take full responsibility for missing fields, running backs for fumbling the ball, coaches for not calling the right plays, defense for missing tackles, not stopping the run and giving up huge plays and the porous OL (Jones had all his career) not providing protection and holding blocks. Add all the penalties and injuries and that adds to the lack of success. I always and still believe that the Giants had a great talent and ruined Jones. DJ had many records. Jones became the first quarterback ever to throw for 250 yards, rush for 50 yards, throw multiple touchdown passes, rush for a touchdown and not commit a turnover in the second half of a game. Jones is only QB in NFL history to throw for 5 TD, over 350 yards and 0 interceptions in a single game. Jones is only QB in NFL playoff history to throw for over 300 yards, 2 TD, rush for over 70 yards and 0 interceptions.
Exactly. The giants were 2nd most in the league for dropped passes. Bad coaching. 3rd down plays in front of the sticks. Bad coaching. Awful embarrassing 2pt conversions. Bad coaching. Bad tackling. I saw flashes of greatness from Daniel Jones. Someone will pick him up, and I believe in time we can see Daniel as a better QB somewhere else. Very similar to what we saw happen to Sam Darnold. This is not the last we saw from Daniel. Too often we place everything at the foot of the QB. I saw some things that I would pick him up on a really good team like Kansas City, Buffalo, or even Pittsburgh. Let him sit behind a vet and learn for a couple of years. The Giants is a horrible organization.
Jones was never that good tho. He was not the 6th best player in the draft expecting him to turn into a great Qb when all he did was play like Himself is crazy. McShay said on draft night he thought Jones was a backup

Most here speak like DJ had no support , O line, descent RBs or play makers. He was drafted #1 and was expected to come to NY which is a media cauldron and perform. He showed glimpses of hope but for some reason his head was slower than his feet and his arm couldn’t spin it past 30-35 yards down field. The guy no doubt worked hard , and did his best to learn the game , but for some reason was always a step behind and showed no improvement year by year. The most puzzling was what Eisen recently spoke on, the dude was notorious for missing wide open receivers and consistently missing bad on throws.
So whose fault is that when a pro QB doesn’t have the football IQ, can’t find the open receiver and when he does he blazes the ball over his head?
There’s no Big Blue fan that will say he wasn’t a class act , and we don’t wish him well. But holy 💩 these last 6 years have been tough for us to watch our team not even be competitive. I’ve traveled nation wide only to walk out of a foreign stadium and back to my hotel by halftime time and time again. Several years ago , cowboys destroyed us like 38-3.
We deserve a change and some hope that we will once be back to a black and blue , physical team that can compete at a high level.
