He just struggles with his languages and is scared he's going to say something wrong so makes it look like he can't figure things out. I know I had this very wrong impression of him from superM videos But when I became an NCTzen and watched more WayV content them I released this guy is very veryyyyy different from what I assumed him to be
Lucas has a lot of moments that are misunderstood and blown out of proportion in my opinion. And people often tend to ignore some amazing qualities that he has, that actually got him to where he is right now. He is clearly a very smart, thoughtful and sensitive person. He is a fast learner (the speed at which he learned to dance, rap, Mandarin and Korean, is impressive). Watching him in DreamPlan, MTopia and other shows, I noticed that he adapts very quickly to situations, is very observant and he actually figures out quickly how things work. He is also really emotionally intelligent for his age and easily adapts to other person’s energy and emotional state. He clearly makes everyone comfortable and people genuinely seem to like him. On top of that he seems really sweet, kind and positive. He is very professional and hardworking. And yes, he has his moments when he is absent-minded and he says apparently random stuff, but that can be due to so many reasons. He also doesn’t have to be perfect. He has a very particular sense of humor, which I personally love, because it has that sense of naivety of a child, it’s never offensive and is always bright. He has a huge heart and he genuinely cares about people. And that is why I really worry about his mental health sometimes. This comment is not intended to make anyone feel bad, but just to remind you that he is a beautiful human being, that gets so much unnecessary hate. So let’s either support him or just respect the differences and let him be.

He is absent-minded sometimes, but that can be due to tiredness, being nervous or just the need for some personal space to recharge (he seems like a high energy person and I am sure those shoots take hours, so he probably needs time to recharge sometimes).

I’m so late to this video but whatever. Lucas has always held a special place in my heart because despite the nationality & age difference and all of those things, I also relate to him internally on so many other things. He’s so sweet & adorable and he has his moments of forgetfulness or absent-mindedness but his confidence, dedication, appreciation, and love for his profession and members goes beyond words that he can even find at times. Lucas has another depth to him yet to be explored by many and catching glimpses of that is what made me almost bias this man (I don’t have any biases because I personally prefer to not allow myself to focus on one person & I stan too many groups (proud multistan here :))
It happens even to any ordinary person who have difficulty sometimes to talk not in your own native language and then somehow that how it’s start the misunderstanding or any miscommunication that is normal and can happen to anyone. But I think overall lucas is a good person because he is not just talented but he has a good heart . He is the guy that he has lots of talent because without his intention he can be funny especially when his with the boys . You can feel his presence because of all the jokes that he has are all natural and that one of his good traits . I hope that Lucas will be back soon because in his group he contributed a lot as a good performer and singer . i literally can't imagine moving to a different country at such a young age with no knowledge of the language beforehand and having to grow up under such a big spotlight away from parents or familiar surroundings. i think he only comes off as carefree bc he has no other choice but to take things lightly bc how else would you deal with this publicly, he can't really throw a tantrum - so i'm kinda glad he has his wayv members bc no one will ever understand you as much as the people in the same boat as you
