All of those bottles are worth money! Thousands and thousands! Pick every bottle!! Even at 2$ a bottle or 1$ uiur making a lot! My guess most go for 5-15$!!! Go back pick them all!!!
You should do a woods/railroad tracks type of finds type of video it's getting that time of year again. Amazing channel entertaining and informative thanks Aqau!!
last I saw in a price book the clear coke bottle like the one you found went for 100 bucks and the brown ones were even more...and that was several years ago. I found 2 perfect ones and a brown 7 up bottle in and old dump in downtown Dallas back in 2001. in 3 hours my bottle collection went from 30 bottles to 300!
Intriguing place... I wonder how all those nails got there, not to mention the bottles! Looking forward to a return trip, 'cause there's obviously more there to discover. GL&HH, and travel safe. d8^)
When we were kids the place we used to swim was close to the site of a military fort built 1812-ish. We would take our Dad's tobacco tins (useful things, those--don't see them anymore! LOL) and FILL them with musket balls. You could wade out up to your neck and just duck under and pick up two, three, five at at time. I don't really remember, because, being a girl, I just wasn't that interested except for the hunt, and gave them all to my brother. He had quite a few, but I'm sure more of them were sold as scrap lead. The fort, already a tourist attraction at the time, didn't want them! LOL. With a little luck, on the way home, you could fill your pockets with clay pipe bowls and ends. Sometimes a military button. I found a horseshoe or two. You could scramble up and down the shore, the bank and even in the dry ditches without getting too much notice. Not now. A kid in the dry ditches would find himself in the midst of a whole passel of guards making a big fuss.
i liked that little brown cork top, when i was a kid i used to collect bottles because my mom liked em so much. not bein near any rivers makes it just a lil difficult to do anymore.
I really respect your search for all Civil War. Old bottles are interesting. Brand Name bottles are better... Old Coke and other brands can be worth the same if not more than most of what you collect from the Civil War if money is an important issue while collecting.
That flat brass thing might be for suspenders or what we call Farmer jeans or Overalls. You would find them at the end of a strap and you slid the key hole looking slot over a button to anchor it to keep your pants up. It might not have been meant for pants, but it's to clip onto something to keep something secure.
NC Bottles (you tube handle) could tell you exactly what you have, bottle-wise. I am pretty dang sure those smooth-side Cokes are valuable. The brass pins are interesting. I watched a BBC show on the History Channel a few years ago called "The Worst Jobs In History". It went thru various British eras and the presenter (Tony Robinson) gamely tried to do each job. I distinctly remember one from the era of Shakespere. The fashion back then demanded that people used hundreds of pins to get dressed. And someone had to make those pins (bad job). The series is posted here on You Tube.
Hmmm,...Those straight-sides were Columbia SC......Probably Odd to find them up there where you were unless you were down here. But then again I could be wrong. I love seeing them,....pick up ALL YOU CAN. Its just like picking up money off the ground!
Some Coca Cola bottles of Soda Water with Canton Ohio advertising on them go for about $100, 1900-1915 bottles can go for as much as $500 each! 1910 Belzoni, Mississippi bottles with no cracks and straight sided are about $460. So yes depending on age etc they are worth picking up. I doubt many survived outside of the river.
hey mate,, really enjoy your channel, gives a person the urge to explore... anyhow, this comment relates to the dress making pins, i did learn from watching your buddy 'chill bill' that those big wide dresses ladies used to wear were chock full of pins so perhaps someone lost her sewing kit off a wagon :)
That broken bottle piece is a bludwine and was a cherry carbonated soft drink from about 1913 to 1932, a shame it was broke, after about 1934 the bludwine bottling works renamed it budwine, that bottle was a definite good bottle GL and HH beau.
Around here, the straight sided Coke bottles sell from $20.0- $40.00+, depending on how "snooty" the antique store is, and the time of year. Xmas brings the prices up on them.RE: Pins: An acquaintance of mine says many of the ones imported from England were silver, and he has done Mud Larking and digging there and is in hog heaven when he finds them in any condition, as they are worth scrap silver at the least. I doubt you will find any silver ones, but keep an eyeball out for them. Great latch piece you found too.
Brass straight pins are a fairly common find among the wreckage of blockade runners. They were shipped in wood casks and were apparently in demand by the Confederate states.
You needed a small garden trowel. One year of the V nickles is worth a ton of money, can't remember which year though. I have a huge spot underwater of WW1 (mostly, some older stuff) and found a V nickle. So far got about 50 buttons, 1800's half of a handcuff set, medals, coins, a spur, 2 toy pistols, lead balls and bullets, silver flatware, LOTS of horseshoes...All by hand and sight, no metal detector.
This video reignited my interests in what your finding AC. Still worries the hell out of me that sometimes that water looks more toxic than just being cloudy and that you're taking a bit of a risk getting exposed to some yuck sickness or something... still what would i know, just that where i live the streams and rivers in my country are usually good enough to drink directly from...!
What always gets me is the tens of thousands of people that live around this body of water and nobody, but Chigg thinks to check it for artifacts, and he doesn't even live near there.
I was told by an old picker and Coke collector that when the Coke bottle styles changed, the local bottlers would load up all the old style bottles and break them. Some went into the local tip or into the local river or creeks. A lot of those strait side cokes will have damage to them but they are all collectable. Take them home.....
hi chigg i went out for my first metal detection and didnt find one coin just tent pegs lighters bottle tops and can ringpulls and a buried barbacue 6 hours ispent i did injoy it wish i lived in america all the cool stuff you guys have over there
where abouts are you from? I'm from Adelaide, South Australia. I found the best way to make a profit is to hit up public parks and play grounds, found a 18 carat gold and diamond ring back in 2013, but that was about it! :P
I am guessing you live in the UK like me ? I bought a starter detector last year and had a go but the same thing bottle tops , ring pulls , nails the only coin i found was an old 2p in my own garden trying the detector out ! I am just waiting for the grass to die down and then will have another go at an old school playing field that i know of and yeah the videos of people detectoring finding great stuff mostly seem to be in the USA !
Brass pins that have heads made with brass wire wrapped around them tend to be early, and often used with clothing. Certainly they would be period Civil War.
Hey Aquachigger, so I have found a fairly old bottle dump in Iowa and as TONs of bottles, antiques, and more. I was wondering how you remove and dig for bottles safely without any damage.
I love old bottles. I would have grabbed every single one!
I absolutely love the civil war finds. I enjoy the way you talk to the camera (us) and share the info on the finds .
All of those bottles are worth money! Thousands and thousands! Pick every bottle!! Even at 2$ a bottle or 1$ uiur making a lot! My guess most go for 5-15$!!! Go back pick them all!!!
My thoughts exactly ! I'd load up my whole truck with them !
fart in a bottle and mail it to me
Same thoughts
@@testiclestoshirleycles5755 😂why???
Would love to see a follow up video on the bottles. Let us know how old they ended up being!

GREAT penny find!!! I was just looking in my old childhood collection. I have an Indian head penny from 1859!
That spigot was COOL!! Thanks AC!!
Good video! Officially more interesting than TV or Netflix tonight. Nice.
Liked the little sugar cube tongs...awesome
Very nice finds! I would hoard soo much if I found a place like that!
those are rare straight side cokes $100-500
YOU ARE MY FAVORITE CHANNEL CHIGG! YOUR VIDEOS ARE THE BEST AND YOUR NUMBER ONE!!! KEEP UP WHAT YOU DO BEST BUDDY!!!
You should do a woods/railroad tracks type of finds type of video it's getting that time of year again. Amazing channel entertaining and informative thanks Aqau!!

Man I love your videos. Would love to spend a day or two with you detecting.
Wow chig everything you found is all from 1860s- Mid 1930s...that type of spigot was phased out to the more modern ones in the mid 30s..... Very cool!
Intriguing place... I wonder how all those nails got there, not to mention the bottles! Looking forward to a return trip, 'cause there's obviously more there to discover. GL&HH, and travel safe. d8^)
Another awesome video! Love the old coke bottles! All the best to you and safe travels!
Those coca cola bottles date back around the 1900-1917 range. They are pretty rare and can sell for a decent bit.
I love the new sound it makes when you like a comment.
Clever but not enough
The new sound it makes when you dislike is better.
I was so close to falling for that.
I like silence. Therefore, I guess I'll never hear that new sound it makes. LoL
Sport Legend you got me there chief
Glad you finally found some treasure.

Nope. guilty of that as well
Well I find myself holding my breath when he says to.
Zarah Jade I hold my breath a lot...
Love this I think those coke bottles are pretty old looking at them
Maybe idk
They are about 100 yrs. old. And can be worth $500-$800 a piece.
Rock 'n Roll Daddio Not that much, from 20 to 50 depending on the quality of the bottle.
Auto play keeps me watching, good videos man. Enjoy those civil war items. Thanks
i liked that little brown cork top, when i was a kid i used to collect bottles because my mom liked em so much. not bein near any rivers makes it just a lil difficult to do anymore.

Nice candy or sugar cube tongs! I would have a field day on a site like that! I would be the river janitor for sure! LOL ;-)
Aqua October is coming up , can you do more haunted videos please . Please
yes!
Dr.Kilmer's Swamp root Tonic came from Binghamton, NY . He made his fortune, and owned two great horses! Man -o-War and Exterminator.
Nice video Beau, the Coke bottles were amazing. Was that the old Pepsi logo on one of the bottles you picked up?
Keep up the excellent work Chigg!
Nice Coca Cola bottles, great.....
Gave Coca Cola flesjes, geweldig....
I absolutely love old coke bottles. You should do a giveaway.
Thank you

Hmmm,...Those straight-sides were Columbia SC......Probably Odd to find them up there where you were unless you were down here. But then again I could be wrong. I love seeing them,....pick up ALL YOU CAN. Its just like picking up money off the ground!
The crushed silver sugar rings are beautiful, such a shame that they've been crushed and compressed over the years. So pretty though!
Cool finds! Really interesting video :)
The partial bottle piece, you couldn't read is called Bludwine. Awesome video ! Would love to bottle hunt with you !!
Some Coca Cola bottles of Soda Water with Canton Ohio advertising on them go for about $100, 1900-1915 bottles can go for as much as $500 each! 1910 Belzoni, Mississippi bottles with no cracks and straight sided are about $460. I believe that coke bottle is about 1910-15
What are they worth?
TheTractorjaws It's called an original straight. They go for 25-30$.
Thank you!
TheTractorjaws No problem!
100 years old, kind of hard to believe isn't it.
Those old Cokes are worth a lot of money!
He should grab every last one and sell them!
And probably keep a few though!
yes........always have been.......
The Blu bottle is most likely Bludwine. Nice straight sided cokes from Columbia SC!
hey mate,, really enjoy your channel, gives a person the urge to explore... anyhow, this comment relates to the dress making pins, i did learn from watching your buddy 'chill bill' that those big wide dresses ladies used to wear were chock full of pins so perhaps someone lost her sewing kit off a wagon :)

Broken one you asked about looked like a Bludwine bottle. Would love to see a return video, those Cokes are sweet!
I reckon you should carry a small 2 inch neodymium magnet with a soft iron keeper on 12 inches of cord to pick up nails etc.
Love the bottles!
Really enjoyed this video, love the old coke bottles.
cool bottles. thanks for the vid chigg

Beep badabeep beep beeeeeeeee LOLOLO

Hey Beau, At film frame 3:06 right before you grab some nails, looks like a Williams cleaner type III Civil War Bullet! take a look.
You needed a small garden trowel. One year of the V nickles is worth a ton of money, can't remember which year though. Chigg most likely has a very robust immune system precisely from doing this kind of stuff. I was thinking about that too though.
What always gets me is the tens of thousands of people that live around this body of water and nobody, but Chigg thinks to check it for artifacts, and he doesn't even live near there.
not the river janitor....did a heck of a job on that river floor. lol. thats gotta take alot of patience
i would so love to go out there and pick up all those bottles to save them and to clean the river :D
Hmm, I didn't know Columbia was abandoned. Does that include MIZZOU ?
the town isnt abandoned but there is a bunch of places in and around columbia that is abandoned
Those smooth sided Coke bottles can be worth hundreds of dollars each. I'm thinking you'd do well to harvest as many as you can.
I was told by an old picker and Coke collector that when the Coke bottle styles changed, the local bottlers would load up all the old style bottles and break them. Man I'd be in heaven! I love old soda bottles!
awesome, thanks
The shield nickel and the Indian were nice. The bottles will make another great video.
hi chigg i went out for my first metal detection and didnt find one coin just tent pegs lighters bottle tops and can ringpulls and a buried barbacue 6 hours ispent i did injoy it wish i lived in america all the cool stuff you guys have over there
Cromwellian tent pegs?
where abouts are you from? I'm from Adelaide, South Australia. I found the best way to make a profit is to hit up public parks and play grounds, found a 18 carat gold and diamond ring back in 2013, but that was about it! :P

the best place in the uk for finding cool shit is along Hadrian's Wall
Amazing hunt!
Chigg river safety tip "Never, I mean never touch glass when in the river" "ohh look coke bottles!" LOL
That was a bludwine bottle. Very cool
Bottles are really cool
thanks for sharing! i wonder if an old store got washed away in a flood?
Cocaine-cola bottle, the drink back in the day that rivaled caffeine, delicious and refreshing.
what a great spot, you'll have to keep going back there
good job, thanks
‼️ hey what ever you did, keep doing it,, your video is very clear this time ‼️👌🏽
😂 it helps if you change the video quality to 1080p
I'd love that spot! I collect old bottles.
Congratulations on the coke bottles AWESOME finds
those old coke bottles from my understanding can be worth a lot of money depending on were they were made and condition. Cool find.
Great video 👍 id love to see a bottle hunt from that place
Brass pins that have heads made with brass wire wrapped around them tend to be early, and often used with clothing. Certainly they would be period Civil War.
