It's not a regular occurrence that something like this happens, in fact on more than one occasion when conducting interviews with the 'who's who' of Black Belts the phrase "nothing like it in the world" kept coming up.
On April 21st the Montreal BJJ Association held a charity seminar with BB representatives from almost every school in Montreal, What was the goal? To show that you can put politics and rivalry aside and come together to support those who may not be your teammates, but who share a love of BJJ much like we all do.
The funds raised (At this time over $3,000) were split between Cystic Fibrosis and to help Seana Rossi's (Toronto BJJ) battle with Cancer.
To say it was my greatest pleasure to film and speak with such passionate people would be an understatement. This groundbreaking, hopefully precedent setting event, is one I will simply never forget.
Congratulations to the Montreal BJJ Association for putting on such an event, and thank you to all who came out and helped make this possible.
