Pro tip, don't destroy your N64 games... buy a $10 3D printed adapter and you can use any US and JP games. It takes 2min to change it.
I have to admit to breaking off the tabs back in the day but in 2023 you're absolutely right! I also kind of only have access to JP games now lol
