🙏Indeed nostalgic feeling to see our college RVCE and Namma Guru math-thu Batch mate Anil Kumble. I remember my first day when I met our principal Prof. Holla and his motivational words during my Admission for Electrical engineering.
During our time at RVCE reaching college and back itself was a herculean task. If we miss Roadtrain driven by Mr Ramanna we have walked down up to chamarajpet many times. Mr Holla, Pandit, etc,etc were really good and strict.
My favorite... If there's anyone who has imbibed the Karma without the thought of Phala, it is Anil Kumble. And Rahul Dravid as well. But being a batter he got the recognition that Kumble, as a bowler did not.
Only kumble could have done best in both the worlds The obsession he has with anything that he does He challenges and saves every damn run be it odi or test In my books this is what you call aggression
The moderator does not appear to have the credentials to ask proper questions. Could have done better with his questions. Mr. Kimble on the other hand was very eloquent with his answers.

🙄 Sad reality... Without referring to faculty in this college it is a well known fact that a large proportion of full time faculty in Tier-2 and tier-3 colleges and universities are unfortunately sub-standard academically, with mediocre cognitive and communication skills.. A large proportion had joined as full-time faculty as they didn't get any other job.. They then hang around in the same college until they retire, getting promoted as Professor, with some of them promoted to leadership positions, based on seniority, based on some archaic UGC regulations which stipulate a certain number of years of hanging around as Professor as the eligibility criterion. Hopefully academic standards and work culture in universities and colleges in India will improve by the year 2047, with academia becoming the career of choice. Indian universities will come of age when persons with high cognitive and communication skills like Anil Kumble choose to become a Faculty and Vice Chancellor 🏏👏
