I feel bad for the queen’s lover. He was caught up in this and became a scapegoat for the three (Lu Buwei, Haolan, Yiren) to be safe. He admitted that his lover was inside the palace but he dared not to admit who it was to protect the Queen. Also, the princess consort’s face when Lu Buwei said that they were out there to catch her supposed lover was priceless 😂
It’s crazy how different all the actors look with hair. And how different Gao (Yanxi palace character name, not sure her name here)looks. The only one I actually recognized was Wei Yingluo and the emperor I spotted them here though it was the emperors voice that gave him away to me as the merchant
