CAUTION : not all Aya Neo Air (and Air+) come with the "English International" preinstalled version of Win 11 (pay close attention if you're located in the US or Canada). It can be super important to note because like LWG mentioned, if you still reinstall the OS with a language version that isn't exactly the same as the preinstalled one, you'll lose everything. Fortunately, if unsure, Windows will mention that you won't be able to keep your files EVEN if you chose the "keep personal files and software" option (it's noted at the bottom of the 3th or so installation screen; i.e. the one where you make your choice to backup your files etc.). So I guess mine is "English (United States)" even though I'm not located there, so please pay attention. My assumption now is that everyone location in Canada and the USA got the English (United States) version. I'll verify what iso version works later and edit this comment. (AWESOME vid btw :D; happy to sub my dude!) EDIT - Yeah, mine was the ENGLISH (UNITED STATES) version and not "ENGLISH (INTERNATIONAL). Again, I'm not located in the US so it's really something to look for if you want to do a fresh reinstall AND keep all of your data. If you use the ISO file like LWG recommended, here are a few tips for those less experienced with Windows: - You don't need a thumb drive or any external device since you can simply MOUNT the iso to a virtual drive and then use the setup executable to start the installation process; - You can MOUNT the iso without a third party software. Just right click the ISO file and select the MOUNT option. If like me the mounting option is missing, select Properties instead, click CHANGE, and then select Windows Explorer from the list. Refresh if needed. Right click the ISO again and you should finally see the MOUNT option (generally it's an issue caused by having associated the .iso extension to another software in the past, like Daemon Tools or stuff like VLC) Once mounted on a virtual drive it will automatically open the folder for you, and all you have to do is to open the SETUP .exe there. If it doesn't go to "My Computer/PC" and open the mounted drive; - BTW, at the very first installation screen, I recommend clicking on the UPDATE options and selecting NO UPDATES instead of letting the process deal with these at the very start. It's a better idea to let Windows do that once it has been reinstalled imho, but others might disagree. A good portion of them will be installed automatically during the booting process following the fresh install anyway. - Once it is done, I recommend focusing exclusively on all the Windows updates, with reboots as needed, until Windows feels it has enough Gremlins. If a particular update keep failing even after reboots, I'd recommend looking it up on Reddit/Discord before attempting a manual update. GOOD IDEA to make sure a restore point was created; but either way it's good practice to manually create one following a fresh install.
Thanks for the like LWG :). In the end, everything is working so better after the fresh install. I was reluctant because I'm not that used to Win 10 nor AMD Win handhelds. I didn't want to mess with driver again, etc. But since you showed that it could be done without losing anything it gave me the extra push I needed ;). Hey! Installing the Windows 11 iso really solved the problem with stuck updates...but now Windows says it isn't activated :( It says the product key was already used on another device. I tried some cmd commands to force activate, but no luck so far. Anyone with a similar problem?
Ok, I found a solution! It's a bit troublesome, but worked flawlessly! First confirm if it is the 0xC004C008 error code and try the activation troubleshooter option. There is a quick explanation here: th-cam.com/video/kuI4rhEyUNE/w-d-xo.html In my case the troubleshooter didn't work, so I had to call Microsoft to confirm a serie of numbers that are linked with the hardware, and with it, I recieved a confirmantion ID that validated the license. The number to call according to the country you have to find typing "SLUI 4" in the run command [Windows + R]. I hope it helps anyone with a similar problem ;)

The checker video on youtube is called 'speaker polarity check - test tone' and i suggest checking if you haven't because i like you had no problem with how my speakers sounded but i did the check anyway and turns out they were out of phase, and mine sound even better now i've corrected them with 'Equalizer APO'

My air doesn't show up. I've tried to dock it to my TV it works fine and I've dock other devices to my monitor and it's fine. But just air. Do you mite know how to fix
Could be a few things. How are you connecting? is it via usbc direct from the device or hdmi via a dock? Also, have you gone into the display settings on the device and made sure the monitor is detected? Sometimes, in windows, it wont show unless you tell the device to duplicate or extend.
After almos 2 days, I end up on this video trying to make Forza Horizon 5, I did everything, now I´ll try the windows reinstall, I also have some updates that don´t install. Unfortunately, afeter the reinstall I couldn´t install the 2022/11 windows update and FH5 still don´t works
I just tried this on the ayeneo 2 cause it was stuck on alot of windows updates and failed updating them. Selected the same language etc. But now nothing works.. Its a PC now no touch screen nothing any advice ?
I dont have an Ayaneo 2 yet, i will next week hopefully and im going yo try the same process. From the sounds of it you did a clean install instead of a repair, meaning youll have to download the drivers and ayaspace and reinstall them. I believe you can find it all on the ayaneo website.
When you go to install it, it will show you the language pre selected. In any case you can go into your windows settings. Type language and it will take you to the language settings part where you can see. 99% likely youll have US.

It depends on the tdp you need to use. The lower the tdp, the more battery you will get. I have the pro model (5560U) which had a slightly larger battery. For an old pc game at 8w for example you're probably looking at 2-3 hours.
Have you changed any of the CPU/TDP settings to be higher than normal? if not then unfortunately that sounds like a possible faulty heat sink or a software issue where its not controlling the heat properly. If you haven't changed anything, id try a windows reinstall, see if that helps. If not then id send it back.
I mention in the video. Its an app called Wallpaper engine from the steam store. I cant remember how much i paid for it, but it was very cheap, like $5 or something like that, one off payment. There are other free alternatives, but no where near as good.

Ok, dont worry. Head over to the Aya website and simply download all the drivers. Once you have installed them, also install the Ayaspace software and it will all work. They even have videos showing how to install the drivers.

@@megat181 hmm as far as i know the keyboard is just the standard windows keyboard. To activate it, go to settings and search for keyboard. There is a virtual keyboard option you need to turn on. Once you do that, you can use ayaspace to map one of the buttons on the device to show the keyboard which is what i do in my video.

Yea, i've tried all four settings and changing the tdp but none of these seem to have any effect, it just sits at 10rpm, goes up to 280rpm slowly then suddenly drops back to 10 again, does this about four times in a minute, tried all sorts, turning off the bios, conf, or shutting down aya space, nothing makes a difference... so close to a great experience, runs gtaV really well, but as soon as its on idle the fan gets stuck in this loop again... Will try to catch tech support in Beijing early tomorrow morning, please let me know if you think of something, cant find much support for the ayaneo air (same model as yours)
As you mentioned, it's difficult to capture actual speaker performance in a youtube video. But I can say, I have the same model Air as you and my speakers sound like absolute garbage. I have many handhelds and almost every one of them sounds better than the Air. I'm fairly certain I have the reversed polarity issue, but even when I address that with Equalizer APO, the speakers still sound bad. They sound muddy, the sound stage is bad, and using sound shaping software like Equalizer APO or fxsound does help but it tends to introduce other issues like audio clipping. Can you share the link to the test video you were using? I'd like to compare mine to yours. I feel like there's something more at play besides just the wrong polarity. I almost think that some of these devices shipped with different speakers than others.
You may be right. You're not the first person who has complained about the speakers. If we get enough views perhaps Ayaneo will reach out and explain. Thanks for the video. We need more content like this because the device is very good but it still has a lot of issues. I've having another problem. Ayaspace just won't open. It's not launching when i boot the console, it doesn't open when I doble click on the desktop shortcut, nothing. I can't change the TDP or adjust the console settings without it. Most of the games still work, only one as stopped working, but it really drags the console down. Do you know any fix for this? Thanks
Thanks! More videos coming weekly, next one tomorrow! As for your problem, do you have an anti virus by any chance? Seems like something is blocking it. 2 things i can suggest, first try launching in Admin mode (right ckick, run as admin). Even if it does not work, open your task manager and check if it's running at all. If you do have an anti virus, check its not being blocked, check windows defender too. Of not then i suggest you uninstall it completely, reboot, then install latest version which you can download from Ayaneo website. That should fix it.

For some reason Aya space doesn't allow me to change the size of the window. Clicking the full screen option off doesn't change anything. Maybe it's because I have the resolution set to 720p.

I’m using Handheld Companion instead of Aya Space. And you can emulate a ps4 controlled with gyro for games and emulators such as cemu!

Most of the heat I feel are on the screen side. About 60-65c under load, maybe 70c being the highest temp. But not bad at all for thermals.

We need more content like this because the device is very good but it still has a lot of issues.
I've having another problem.
Ayaspace just won't open.
It's not launching when i boot the console, it doesn't open when I doble click on the desktop shortcut, nothing.
I can't change the TDP or adjust the console settings without it.
Most of the games still work, only one as stopped working, but it really drags the console down.
Do you know any fix for this?

Thanks! More videos coming weekly, next one tomorrow! As for your problem, do you have an anti virus by any chance? Seems like something is blocking it. 2 things i can suggest, first try launching in Admin mode (right ckick, run as admin). Even if it does not work, open your task manager and check if it's running at all. If you do have an anti virus, check its not being blocked, check windows defender too. Of not then i suggest you uninstall it completely, reboot, then install latest version which you can download from Ayaneo website. That should fix it.

For some reason Aya space doesn't allow me to change the size of the window. Clicking the full screen option off doesn't change anything. Maybe it's because I have the resolution set to 720p.
Most likely yes, however, as long as the 'fullscreen' option is off, its ok.
