@Bloody Vanessa Its a natural progression for Kai. Mmmh was needed to grab our attention to see Kai as a solo artist.That worked and Mmmh is etched in our memories. Now Kai is showing us different facets of himself like a diamond. Kai has a lot more stories to tell and I'm looking forward to see, hear and experience all of them
Right! He said a year ago that with the first album he wanted to establish himself as a soloist, and with the second one he was going to express more of himself and his taste. He had "Peaches" a year ago but held it all this time to make it a masterpiece and let it shine in another album with another concept

This song reminded me a bit of a slower version of Baekhyun's Candy. I really like how light and dreamy the song sounds and it goes perfectly with the MV! Idk what else to say except Kai is a star, we been knew. 😭

Last year Kai said that with the first album he wanted to establish himself as a solo artist, and with the second one he was going to show more of himself and who he is. So the references you named are so on point.

this piece was choreographed by bada lee (danced in Kai’s song reason), Anthony lee (kinjaz), and Bailey sok. Bada is one of sm’s main choreographers rn as she has choreographed for Kai, Nct, and Aespa. Also Bailey is just 17 years old and has become really known in the kpop choreography world, as she has choreographed for just abt everyone at this point. As for Anthony I don’t know too much abt him.
Bailey is also a member of Kinjaz now. Anthony is one of the founders of Kinjaz. Also one of the biggest names in the industry :)

He is THE ARTIST. There isn't anyone like him in the whole world. His level of artistry, perfect execution in everything, artistic sense and taste, ability to pull off any concept and yet express himself through it, add his personal touch to everything (choreo, song, style, MV...) I can't think of any other person like him. This artistry is unmatched!

@@a.t.l400 the fact that when he sings live to you it sounds like lip sync says it all about your hearing and abilities to judge a vocalist. No wonder... Army never had a good ear for music and good eyes for really good dance. If you write anything hateful about Kai again, I'll report you. He's a legend and you're a pathetic toxic fan of bts... So bad their solo careers aren't as successful as Kai's, who's on the list of the most sold albums in S. Korea, unlike your faves. Graduate from middle school first, and try to achieve anything better in life than just offending world renowned artists

Ahh I got so excited to watch your reaction!! It’s definitely different from Mmmh but equally beautiful. Like what you said, I love that he is able to explore and express himself so diversely. His first album already highlighted what a great vocalist and unique singer he is, but I feel like it was even more emphasized in his second album. Can’t wait to watch his concert!!

1:55 just wanna say those are hanbok! Traditional korean clothing. Kimonos are in Japan. Just wanna say it out there since some are still sensitive about the relationship between the two countries when Japan invaded Korea back in the 90s.

I'm sure you'll love the album. It so vocally strong and versatile. We got a lot of his deep low speaking voice register, not only falsettos. And his singing technique improved so much, he takes and holds notes with so much ease and cleanliness! The range, the agility, the runs are so good. He's always had a beautiful warm and velvety voice that made him stand out, but now his skill puts him on another level.

I couldn't agree with you more like Jongin has done it again and I watched a interview yesterday from Suhan and he was asking him questions about his inspiration behind this album and he was saying how he worked really hard for this album m didn't expect for it come so soon but how important it was as well to show another side of himself for us in contrast etc ..you should watch it found it very interesting ..love Kai and honestly his musicality is always so on point n then some even if it's showing a new side of himself and that's how Kai always truly shines and stands out hes just so fluid..n so talented vocally n his runs falsettos are so smooth and yet branded with knowing very distinctly it's Kai.. You should totally have Merv react on here to this once dance practice releases and do mv and practice or whatever since he really liked him before plus always enjoy your guys chemistry on show together it pairs nicely work well together

The softness and fluidity of his movements here is very different from the sharp and precise hits I'm used to seeing from KAI. He's still hitting those positions on beat, but as you said it seems more free, almost lighter than his usual choreo. I love seeing this side of KAI. I feel like he drew everyone in with his first mini album and this second one is showing us another side of him. I hope to see more of it!

This song is beautiful and his voice is very smooth, his dance moves tell a story. Kai show us more, it's interesting. He was so excited. I like when he smiles, it looks he had fun. The outfits look amazing on him. I think he should be in a historical drama and even have a role as a prince or pirate.🎊🎉🎥

I was so surprised at how different Peaches sounds compared to Mmmh, i really like it! Lovely music video, dreamy sound, and the choreo for this was phenomenal!
Slight correction for you though, the traditional inspired outfits you mention toward the beginning, while they do look similar to Kimonos (those are Japanese as you probably know), in Korean culture they're called Hanboks. And there is in fact a traditional version of them, and in Korean fashion it has become popular to wear "modernized" Hanboks. And i agree they are wonderful fashion pieces! I only point out the correction because some of the culture, visually, is similar to Japanese or Chinese cultural things us Americans are more likely to recognize because Korea had a past of being occupied/colonized by Japan and China and that's a painful past/history for them. And i've seen Koreans be offended when we confuse their culture for Japanese or Chinese things. So once i learned that (learned it from the comments when Suga/August D's "Daechwita" came out and some reactors thought the palace in the music video was Chinese and/or Japanese) i try to be on the look out for that and catch myself when i see myself making that mistake, looking out for you as well!
I need Kai and Taemin to do an album together. Sexy Taemin hits different. And Kai is probably the best in the kpop game for facial expression and charisma. His 2 mini albums are fire. Taemin is my Ult... but I just need him and Kai to do an album together after their enlistment. They besties so SM is needs to come correct.

Actually a lot of people have pointed out that there’s a lot of Japanese culture in this video interestingly, so it could be a combo of both.
@@Koko3op No offense but I wonder where the Japanese culture is in the MV. As a Korean, I don't feel any Japanese style there. Clothes all from the Korean tranditional clothes, the roof in MV is 'Giwa roof tiles' that you can find in Han-ok house.
I think it was from the teasers then a lot of twitter people had mentioned Japanese culture so much, hmm, my mistake!
@@Koko3op I guess the same things happen many times, which is sad. People who have little or no experienced in east-asia culture tend to have a prejudiced image like 'east asiantic' = 'Japanese' or 'Chinese'. Somehow I could understand the reason cuz those two countries are big and rich enough to advertise and sell their cultures to western society, and they did from long time ago.
feel Korea still needs to do best to advertise ourselves more. Homework! ;>

The song is very sexy but in a different way than Mmmh, as Kai wanted to be a romantic god in Peaches, unlike the one in Mmmh
Kai has said he specifically wanted to show a completely different side of himself with this album vs his first one. The pastels, the smooth instead of sharp dance moves, the smiling, etc., it's all on purpose to show his softer side.
