Clay, I would love a video that goes through all your rod setups, like style of rods and reel, what they are spooled with (braid,hollow, mono etc) and what lures you use. I see you have a mix between spinning and “regular” reels, and see some feathers on the spinning ones. But as someone who is just getting into fishing offshore with his boat and is buying rod/reels with tackle for mahi, tuna, king and wahoo and bottom rigs as well, it would be awesome to get some great ideas of what other people are using. I’m currently running a Talica 25II with 500 yards of 70lb braid, but as I am looking to buy 2-3 more rods/reels for summer…really curious the most versatile way to set them up.

Beautiful trip to West End and the beautiful Blue Marlin Cove. When I used to go there we stayed at the Jack Tar resort. It was okay but nothing like Blue Marlin Cove. Love to eat Hogfish.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for telling all these yahoos out there to STOP destroying the bottom with their props. I fish Tampa Bay and I see SOOOOO many scars in the sea grass caused by carelessness.
This also goes for EVERYONE who guns their outboards to get their boat back on trailer at the ramp. STOP USING YOUR PROPS TO TRAILER YOUR BOAT !!! Get out and use the winch like a big boy !! Every time you gun your motor at the ramp you wash away the mud at the end of the ramp causing deep ruts underwater. Someone can lose an axle trying to get their boat out because of YOUR carelessness.
Remember, the water is there for ALL OF US to enjoy, not just you.
There's always good in teaching something positive.

Nice tunas. A couple suggestions to help you out and decrease the chance that you will lose them to sharks. Those 30s aren't gonna work with bigger fish. I recommend you step up to 50s for yellowfin tuna fishing. Also, you should consider using stand up harnesses instead of leaving the rods in rod holders. If you do those two things you will get the fish to the boat MUCH quicker.

So that's what my canned yellow fin Tuna looks like... Before they stuff it in the can. I wish they had those things in my Wisconsin lakes. Lol. My canned yellow fin is Almost as good as my fresh walleye and trout. I'm sure fresh Tuna is even better... You guys sure eat good! Cool videos. Thanks

Would love to go on a fishing trip with you guys one day i live in nassau im a boat captain i operate a 37ft glass bottom luxury sports yacht. Been into boats/fishing from age 8 after i got my captains liscense my father passed away but i can feel he is out there with me when im on the water. P.s me n the crew troll for barracuda or we go after yellow tail , grey or mutton snappers. I was blessed to had a deep sea fishing trip with my dad few years ago where we caught mahi mahi and tuna on 50lbs test hand lines while the elec rod was rigged for red snappers lol. I enjoy the videos you post greatly appreciated.

Hey Guys, !!!! Clay, we are interested in knowing how long you can stay down when you are spear fishing or catching lobsters...we love you guys..breathing exercises or just natural?
Great question, so normally he can stay down for about 2-3 minutes, I would say it was a natural thing but definitely focusing on it and working on exercises it definitely doesn't hurt.

so when you catch a fish at the caliber of the yellow fin, and it has some shark bite injuries, is it common to still keep that catch? I know a couple of people who release any injured fish, maybe their just a little germaphobe ocd or its common, im not sure. someone enlighten me please
I would say that it's on preference. If you cut the injury off there's really no reason that the rest of the fish should be trashed if there is still so much fish left. Unless it's a smaller fish and the bit is half the fish. Id say that that fish is now bait. 😂

I just saw a video on salt strong that suggested if a fish is trailing your topwater best thing to do is to pause and then do a few rapid cranks so that it gives the impression the fish is trying to flee away and it provokes a predatory strike

I can't tell you how many time I've had to get out a push a boat off a flat, living in Florida and fishing the back country of the everglades & and the keys all my life (before GPS) you just knew it was going to happen when you explore to find new secret spots. Nice boat and beautiful wife!!
