    Thanks for this video, Patrick. I was actually going to ask you about how you edit your videos, but you beat me to it! Great work.

    Great video. Question about recording your audio. Are you recording audio while you fly or after your video is done recording. Just confused when it comes to consolidating the video, wouldn't a lot of audio be lost?

    Do you record your audio after the main game recording, or actually record it separately but still with the main game recording?

    How long does it take to edit a video?

    • @TheFlightSimDeck
      @TheFlightSimDeck  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ones like this maybe two hours. This one was 3 hours of footage to consolidate to 23 minutes.

    Oh, so you don't use FS recorder! I'm surprised :)

    Out of curiosity. How do you film wing view vids with shadow play and fly airplane? I try to window FlightDeck on a separate monitor and have wing view on my primary monitor but when I record with shadow play and play it back it stutters between both screens when recording. Thanks! And love your vids!

      Josh Green I wait until the plane is on auto pilot to move to the back and do a wing view. If it's a replay I just move the plane to the wing view and play it back.

    Hey Great video, I have a question you might be able to help me with. I too use shadow play or whatever they’re calling it now from Nvidia. I’m having an issue recording videos with the audio using pilot2ATC I set shadowplay to only record internal video for the flight sim and I have a button that I use so that I can speak to ATC but I notice that I can never hear my voice in the video playback but if I choose to record all the time I always get the background noise of the speakers would you happen to know what I can do to solve this problem?

      Hi Steven, Since this video I've stopped using ShadowPlay. My biggest issue with it is that you can't monitor audio/video as you're recording. Many times half way through a video I would end up with just a black screen, not knowing the video had stopped working at some point. Since then I've started using OBS Studio (free). It gives you so many options and freedom. Best of all you can monitor the audio/video as you go. To capture your voice talking to ATC you will probably need to leave the mic on and use headphones for the sim and ATC audio. Which microphone do you use now?

    What AI Traffic do you use and also is it free? And if it’s paid do you know any good free alternatives becuase they look great and nice video

      I use Ultimate Traffic Live. That one is not free. In the past I've used World of AI for traffic. That option is free. The VATSIM network (also free) would also work if people are online.

      OK cool thought it look similar. I'm using elements 9, time to upgrade I think. Didn't know you could change the res from shadow play either. Thanks for the tip's. Great video
