@TELGRM_Waleska_Herrera it’s a gangster movie with a lot of heart. You feel for the gangsters and are in fear of them throughout it. And there are quite a bit of twists in the story, something Malayalam cinema is quite good at. The story revolves around 3 college age guys so you really get to see college life in India, which has a lot of ups and downs. Malayalam movies have its own flavor and pretty distinct from the rest of the country and is definitely having a moment in India. Manjummel boys, Premam, Drishyum etc. In fact there have been a lot of remakes of Malayalam movies in other industries because the writing is really good.
Maharashtra is geographically more south like Andra and Telengana. They even have places named after the Kerala region like Malabar Hills. But when the north tries to divide and pull up the state and brand it as north where it's not original. Even food is more of a mix of the south. But since it's in a central region they do have a mix of culture and north invaders and immigrants who later settled there influenced much more there since it's a financial hub of India.

@TELGRM_Waleska_Herrera Well, South India comprises of 5 states where Telugu, Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam are the main languages. They belong to a class of Indian Languages called "Dravidian'" languages while Marathi is classified as an Indo-Aryan language. Those classifications might be outdated but there is a lot of words and vocab that are common with the aforementioned Dravidian languages which is why there is also a difference in musical style and classical songs in these languages are known as "Carnatic Music". So whoever suggested Marathi probably did for the heck of it but no one recognises Marathi as "Southern" lol
