Every reviewer misses the point of a convertible. Show us the roof going up and down. Not a 2 second incomplete shot.
The cleanest are clearest to the point 650s Spider review I've seen. I enjoy the honesty as well. People try to mask the fact that you become an instant somebody when you have this much money invested in a car.

He's right about the attention. I was able to drive a 650s at a McLaren dealer driving event on the streets of Palo Alto CA. People were trying to keep up, or catch up to us, and stopped at lights lots of people taking phone pix. I thought to myself, "I could get used to this" :) We've all gone 70 mph before, but I have never gone from 10 mph to 75 mph in 2 seconds! I remember a tunnel vision type effect, and a BIG smile on my face after.

Do you know that the headlight are the shape of a Kiwi Emblem as Mclaren was a New Zealand race car drive and designed the early Mclaren race car before he was killed. It the same as the emblem on the bonnet

I'm not really a fan of the no-limit Autobahn, but i gotta admit, I'd use it allday everyday with the 650S Spider.

Over 10. A lot of normal cars can take 12, 15 or even 19s i think

***** 2005 Camry or 2015? The 4-cylinder 2015 Camry does it in 7.9s and the V6 does it in 5.8s.
And contrary to what other commenters have said, very few new cars do 0-60 in over 10 seconds these days. Most NA I4 cars are between 6.7-8.5 seconds. Throw on a turbo and you can shave about 1.5 seconds from that. Cars are generally pretty fast nowadays.
A 1973 honda civic did 0-60 in 19 sec.
A 1983 toyota tercel 4wd did 0-60 in 16.4sec.
The lightest weight 2015 civic with 143hp (the LX 2dr Coupe) does 0-60 in 8.0sec.
The heaviest weight, slowest civic on the market in 2015 with 143hp (the EX 4dr Sedan) does 0-60 in 9.1sec.
A 3.5 V6 Camry will embarrass a lot of cars in a straight line.

That car belongs in a canyon with the top down and the sun shining. The point of a supercar is to connect you with the road, and it is all that a car can be. You should not buy one for attention, buy it because it is trying to be the best at what it is, and what it is, is a driving machine.

Such a missed opportunity for a really good 10/15/20 minute review. Why bother taking it on the motorway & downtown - take it to some decent roads and properly test it! Unfortunately this is just 4 minutes of disappointment

get the lexus lfa, an other car nobody has. only 500 exist in the world and is about 400'000 Dollars while it also fixes all the issues about the technic stuff that sucks at this car. you should really at least check it out.
