Justin Johnson is who got me to start playing guitar. I fell in love with slide guitar like this and I wanted to play like this. I already had a guitar and started teaching myself. I'm still not very good, I can't make chords yet, but I'll learn.
yeah ! i tought i was the only one start learning guitar with over 50 years old. i can play the important chords. but i tell you...the right hand makes the sound/noise/rhythum. you can play withe the same 3 chords rock. punk or reggea. its the strumming or picking what makes your sound special. and i found out breaks and silence between the strumming is very important. dont go on and on and on with the same strumming. if you dont know chords, the drop-d-tuning is ok for some easy sounds. look the video from MATT ANDERSON, he just tuned down the low E string to a D ( this upload video from bob ault) : the devils bride. exept the solo its so easy to play. he just play d chord without the middle finger (the high e string) and then the 3. and the 5. fret (just hit the 3 low strings and again and again. but justin johnson iss masterclass but i think he played 99% of his songs in OPEN -TUNINGS. i dont know how good you are, what talent you got. but if you havent got... you need a tuner. your guitar has always been in tune. ok in you tube you can find all tunings too. have fun. and dont forget..the soul and the raw realness tells the blues and not a perfect technique. greetings from germany

That’s a fine whiskey tuning right there. Whiskey tuning: dip the guitar in a barrel of finest whiskey for a night. that guitar is so deceptive. What a beautiful tone.
TheReapersScythe1 that guitar would be worth so much more if he restored it but it would lose something ever more valuable, it’s priceless sound.
That guitar has seen some sh*t lol, perfect for blues sounds great.
Gareth Jones he probably bought the guitar because it looked beat up like a poor black mans guitar.
should be hole in it afer a bar fight or smh lol
Frank Roger

picture yourself walking down an old abandoned road, the sun shining in your eyes. the gleam of that water on the road.
The scream of an Eagle from a distance
The smell of hot dirt and old asphalt fills the dead air
It's the guitar of ages... never needs tuning, never needs repair, and can always turn a metal head into hillbilly running wild in the swamp.
that's the blues , that i would listen to any time, any where
When u finally achieve inner peace. This will be played at my funeral. just fills up my sole

Iury Almeida sorrry to brake it buddy, but bluea was made by African americans
Rafael Garcia Yeah, blues and rock n' roll were created by blacks, what's your point? The point of music is sound, not color.
How does that even relate to the OP?
