I can't understand why taping the jaw on would cause it to be more dangerous unless the improper fastening of the jaw would cause it to fly off and become a projectile. If anything the jaw would become safer as the jaw would break off from the child's skull.
Maybe they were restraining bolts which was holding back the bite pressure, which then caused it to clamp down? Or maybe it damaged the spring lock and that caused it to clamp down?
I think Five Nights at Freddy’s could have been a sci-fi horror movie, where a mysterious AI is programming these animatronics that hunts for human hosts.
