Hi ! Thank you for the video, but it was too short. Can you explain more about them in music field please? which one are more likely to get fund and support by universities?
Thanks for watching!
I'm not as familiar for the music fields, but I can do some speculation. Depending on the professors and the program, each university will be looking for something different. There might be a school that specializes in piano instruction looking for an instructor, while another needs a cellist for a symphony, and another is more focused on music theory. Each program will lay out what they're looking for on their website.
The best way to conduct research is to look up fully funded music programs, do some general reading online, then go to individual university websites. See what they're looking for and what they offer. Each university will offer something different. Target your application to the schools that you want to attend.
I hope this helps - best of luck!
@@aaronsalzman Thank you so much 🙏
Hey!, I am currently an undergrad marketing student who is hoping to apply for a master's in fashion marketing/related courses and is still unsure of the differences between the MA and the MFA. My dream career is to work in a marketing position for a luxury brand but unsure which one would be best for me. Any advice would be much appreciated!
Hi Alexis! If your preferred degree is in marketing, I would point you in one of two directions; you could steer towards an MS in marketing, or an MBA (Masters of Business Administration) in marketing. The MS usually takes about two years to complete and acts more as a continuation of your undergraduate degree. The MBA is usually for those with more experience in the job market, someone with a lot of hands on experience in a given field who is looking to progress to a higher position.
The MA and MFA are catered towards more liberal arts style degrees, so the MS or MBA would be your best bet.
I hope this was helpful, and good luck! Keep the Desert Crossing updated on your progress, we are rooting for you!
