Atomic Heart is a first-person adventure shooter with a rich storyline and deep gameplay mechanics, set in futuristic Soviet dystopia. What I love about this game is that even though the player only speaks in Russian, half the words he says are "blyat", so even non-russian speakers like myself get a good idea of what he's thinking.

the frame rate on this sequence is so low that they implemented this aggressive motion blur to make it as fluid, but when the game is fully optimized it will go more fluently but sadly way less graphic details like always

Так интересно пересматривать старые трейлеры уже после релиза игры. Понимаешь, что по итогу попало в игру, что нет; от каких наработок отказались. Прошёл её с удовольствием и зачистил все полигоны. Но смотря этот трейлер, я понимаю, что игра могла получится совсем другой.

I just love how everything here is extremely creepy and without the need of low-light, screamers, or exageraly nightmare-ish looks, like the Nightmare Animatronics from FNAF, the game can make you feel anxious and alert.
One good example is with the robot that throws you in the hole, experienced FPS players would notice the lack of ammo and start worrying if they'll find any before getting attacked, and in the moment you actually see the player try to shoot the robot off of him only to find out he's out of ammo to do so. The panic is made by knowing you're defenseless
I just think that the unique Russian myths are also helping here. I think the weird guns shocking their users are like Baba Yaga.

I love a horror game that can freak you out without requiring a low light environment. Daylight horror is astonishingly underrated and difficult to pull off, but here it works wonders. Hope the game lives up to the hype!

Playing the game now, it's VERY clear that it went through many different changes in style/tone over the years. It feels like parts from 3-4 different games in the same universe smashed together, theres even paths/collectibles on the in game map that don't translate to the area you're actually in. Its very weird feeling but I'm having fun with it

How does the end game free roam work, do you still get to explore after beating the game?, does it load you back to a save before the final mission?, I’m just curious

@@user-xk5mh2oe9m doesn't seem to load you back to any particular point. Playing right now to explore everything, and I don't have any main quest checkpoints highlighted or anything.
While exploring is still available post-game, I would HIGHLY recommend clearing out the underground facilities before completing it, as I went too far and didn't realize it until it was too late, and missed out on several upgrades I'd wanted to try.

Здорово смотреть первый трейлер после прохождения игры, которая уже после трейлера прошла 4 года разработки и производственный ад. С одной стороны, много знакомого, с другой стороны, чувствуется колоссальная работа проделанная за эти годы.
There's few things I hope they have changed or will by the time of the release of this game.
-Please take off the motion blur
-Remove or reduce that over exaggerated pick up animations, it's going to get old quick
-Reduce the bobble it's distracting
-Would love if they add an ability to holster your weapon

@@IAMM1GHTY Ну как бы блин, он сгущёнку даже по другому на релизе открывает и одного возможного босса убрали, Наташу запихнули в театр, хотя должна была быть на открытом пространстве, у нее это понятно на атаке, когда она вверх подлетает и бомбы сбрасывает

This game is like a one big fever dream. There are old communist buildings and cars, along side futuristic robots and drones. There's also floating water and "The Motherland Calls" statue in the middle of nowhere. There's also distorted music. I love it

Yeah well FYI there actually were some pretty advanced technologies way ahead of their time in the Soviet Union, but most of them were hidden really well from the people and were only used by the government and the scientists. So yeah, a lot of the stuff in that game is based on tech that actually existed way back then. Just sayin' lol.
For reference you can read some books by Vasily Aksyonov, most notably "The Egg", which talks about advanced drones before anyone really knew they existed(the 80's). What also proves it was based on real events and technologies is that his books were actually banned in the Soviet Union, like many others really. Sorry for the long comments, it's like 2:30AM here and I'm bored AF.

The way that enemy lunged at him silently was creepy as hell. These enemies look fun to fight.
With guns yes but with that melee weapon it looks a bit wonky and probably annoying to go against.

Хорошо что Atomic Heart подвергся координальной переработке. Старый дизайн выглядит хоть и более реалистичным, мрачным, больше похожим на Bioshock, но как я считаю, переработка игры пошла только на пользу.
Хотя в этот, старый билд, я бы не отказался поиграть.

@@IloveAmin весь этот геймплей это то, как мы попадаем в комплекс вовилов в самом начале игры на релизе. Локация сохранила свой внешний вид, но на релизе стала мрачнее. Короче тут они сделали игру дай дог процентов на 40.

Kardamych мат в игровых ситуациях просто в тему. Вряд ли кто-то в подобной ситуации выражался бы культурно. Если в игре мат будет именно в таких экстремальных ситуациях, где любой бы не удержался от крепкого словца, то это только добавит реалистичности

несильно он чекни киберпанк 2077 там все есть и без цензуры. а озвучка совпадает с мимикой на 11 языках мира
Прикольно, конечно, смотреть на все эти геймплейные ролики в ретроспективе. Понимаешь, почему что-то пошло под технический нож, а что-то доработали. Где-то привирали уже тогда, например с детализацией повреждений ВОВчиков. Она, конечно, всё равно впечатляет даже сейчас, но на этом трейлере было явно детализированнее. Но всё же забавно наблюдать, как игра заметно изменилась за 4 года. И конечный продукт понравился ничем не меньше того, что я вижу тут.
Кстати с детализацией они не привирали. Это реально было в игре, и через эти повреждения можно было даже простреливать по другим противникам. Но к релизу от этой фичи отказались и все упростили. Ибо жрало это дело очень много ресурсов , а геймплейно никак игру не меняло и толком механик никаких не добавляло
