Marlo Thomas was such a doll on this show, i always loved her shiny silky black hair 😍😍😍😍🥰🥰🥰🥰
Wow Dabney Coleman! Unrecognizable but his voice is unmistakable.
I had forgot how fun how they fit in that girl in each opening
It was a clever way to lure people into watching the show.
wow, a very young George Carlin. nice to see him in his youth. thanks for sharing.
... Retro Gems - Merci! George Carlin and Sally Kellerman were Icing on the Cake here 😎.
Indeed!
It's awesome how they incorporate the variations of "That Girl" in each intro, but how they created 137 of them is beyond me for the 137 episodes.
After a while, they became contrived, but nobody cared. It was part of the fun of the show.
They didnt have it every single episode
@@mariahyohannes Hmm, good to know. Cheers!

I bet they did. It was a trademark of the show.
@@randilevson9547 No they didnt. I have watched every episode of this show religiously, for the last 15 years. There are maybe a hand full of episodes where they dont incorporate that girl.
I love all the old shows that was when TV was at it best
I remember George Carlin as the Taxi Driver in 1976 Car Wash. And, Sally Kellerman as a Protective Angel in Brewster Macloud from 1970.
Sally was the original Major Margaret "Hot Lips" Houlihan in the 1970 movie MASH. "This isn't a hospital, it's an insane asylum!!"
Sandy herself is the bad luck here. The self-fulfilling prophecy. Straight out of the theatre. Greek Tragedy.
I like the shots of "Funny Girl" on Broadway!
They showed the Majestic Theater...where Robert Preston played in 'The Music Man' before the movie. I have an original 1959 playbill from that show.
Marlo Thomas and Sally Kellerman. Celebrity battle of the raspy voiced girls!!!
Too bad Emma Stone hadn't been born yet

George Carlin was so clean cut and straight laced here, but still quirky and funny.
cute!
Saw Carlin in ‘05ish. My face hurt from about 2 hrs of laughing. Took him a little longer because he was working on stuff for an HBO special. Timing, etc.
Great music
Love these videos ty for sharing
Sally Kellerman and Loretta Swit both looked a lot like which is probably the main reason she and Loretta Swit played the same part in Mash the film and TV show.
Sally and Marlo. Celebrity festival of horrible wigs. George Carlin. A great cartoon voice if ever there was one. I have laughed my butt off over the years listening to Carlin's brilliant social satire material. R.I.P. George and Sally.
Ann’s friend was passive aggressive.
Wait a minute! An episode without Ted Bessel?!? I had no idea ! Were there any others?
Yes. The one where Anne babysits Leon and Judy's baby, while trying to audition for an acting workshop.
How can tell measles, just like that
Dabney Coleman was a doctor, right?
7:17 George Carlin!
That's right! He was the first American narrator of Thomas & Friends, and he did his comedy show, and he was in Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, Cars 1, Shining Time Station as Mr. Conductor and The Simpsons as Munchie!
The episodes were always better when Ann had Don to bounce things off of. I never thought the non Don ones were quite as good.
They gave ANN's Address as W 78th st/but isn't that the East River?
George Carlin playing a conservative hipster. You can almost hear the stand-up comedian trying to emerge.
He sooo wants to drop one of the 7 Words You Can't Say
Is that George Carlin??
I started watching this show trying to rediscover why I had such a crush on Marlo Thomas. It didn’t take long to remember falling for that face particularly her eyes, voice, and energy. But then I realized why I stopped watching it, the corny scripts. Not enough to hold a preteen’s attention.
Yes the first two seasons were really fun but the premise grew a bit thin after that. It was a cute cute show for us girls for it’s time.
Missed seeing Don. Sandy was so annoying!
Sandy was a neurotic, passive-aggressive nightmare.
