    Klitschko stuff starts around 33:00
If they never do anything, how did he send his opponent to the hospital from all the damage he took to his head? His skull was litterally in pieces.

The 90s HWs were: Tyson, Douglas, Holyfield, Bowe and Lewis.
Only Lewis escaped from a Klitchko fight and immediately retired thereafter.
Bowe actually took up kickboxing and got beat and now signs autographs at flea markets.
I'm telling you, none of those guys would beat Wlad and Vit.

Fedor had a more successful career than Lesnar all I said about him. Your definitely mixing up talent with a good UFC business strategy. UFC couldn't manage their business period before the buyout. UFCs success came from the business sense not their ability to have the best fighters in the world. There were true mixed martial artists out there while UFC champions became champions. They didn't have to have the best fighters they could just pretend they were and sell the fights all the same

Mma ring/octagon fights are the closest you can get to simulating a street fight, while still maintaining enough safety measures to make sure athletes can compete and stay healthy. MMA includes boxing, kickboxing, and grappling. If you let two people fight with absolutely no rules the mma fighter will win 9/10 times. It's not about popularity, it's about skills.

It was the opposite; Lennox was coming on strong in the middle rounds and he always tended to finish a fight strongly. Even without the cut, I think he would have won, as he would have won a rematch if he had been motivated enough to do so.

lol. the irony is klitschkos would probably murder any of one of dana's fighters in the ring. the klitschkos are the greatest thing to happen to heavyweight boxing. they'd've destroyed ali, Tyson, and/or holmes -- whoever you got, i'd put my money on k-bros ...

    Fedor vs. Lesnar. If only...
I can appreciate the fact that for once, Dana wasn't saying Fedor sucks. What does suck is that Fedor's camp turned down such a crazy opportunity and I can understand, (from what information we have available), why he was blown away by the arrogance. Sure, Fedor isn't in his prime, but in my opinion, he's one of the greatest fighters of all time.
This had to be one of the more interesting interviews as of late with many agreeable points.
    Thanks MMA H.E.A.T.

    • @Rosumisorimu
      @Rosumisorimu 4 ปีที่แล้ว

@Johann Dörsel I'm not even sure if you are joking or being sarcastic now? What does HONESTY and CREDIBILITY has anything to do with having a lot of money? In fact, in his case, the very reason he has a lot of money today is because he was a dishonest manipulative, sneaky, malicious scumbag. If you EVER watched more than 5 of his interviews you should clearly conclude that he is one of the most self-contradicting, two-faced, hypocritical, pathological liars that have ever walked the planet earth. If I started listing all of the moments when he promised something, swore by it, pseudo-moralized and then pissed all over it with no explanation at all, the list would exceed the character limit of the TH-cam comments.
Anyone who knows anything about Dana White knows that he makes even politicians look like pure, cute, innocent. little angels.

The professional fighting world has know for a long time that the only fight that could EVER matter with the Klitschkos is against each other. The attention, the drama, the payday, it would have everything. They profess they would never do so as it would break their mother's heart, but in reality, I think it's because they might go too far with each other. They are brothers, and if you have one, you know how brutal a fight can be with your sibling.

  • @Vinnymanvinny1

Sylvia was ranked 4 or 5 when he fought Fedor, Arlovski was on a three or four year winning streak when he fought Fedor. Funny how you didn't respond to my Josh Barnett comment. Herring was far from trash, Rogers was a top ten HW, Koshaka cut Fedor with an ILLEGAL ELBOW AND THE FIGHT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A DISQUALIFICATION, but the only reason he was given the win was because it was a tournament. Fedor's camp had the option to push for a change but he didn't pursue it.

Neither is more difficult to train for, that all depends on the fighter. It is ludicrous to say every MMA fighter trains harder than every Boxer. The diversity in the training for MMA will make sure you use a lot of different muscle groups etc. but that doesn't mean the fighters train harder.

Tim Sylvia was 31 when he fought a 48 year old Mercer and James Toney was 43 in his MMA fight and hadn't held a Boxing world title for 8 years lol but you consider Sylvia to be over the hill but not Toney or Mercer.

Yes, i agree with you. I just was trying to get a reaction because i absolutely hate how so many people are on his nuts. Its was more of the heavyweight division being weak at the time. And he was a great fighter (i remember the randleman fight being specifically incredible) but to laugh in Dana Whites face when he got offered the biggest deal in UFC history and then try to force the UFC to build an arena for him in Russia put me over the edge with the dude.

I love how people bash Dana White and call him uneducated, both in the business and in general when he has basically taken an underground market and turned it in to one of the biggest and most profitable sports in the world. Anyone who doesn't believe this just look at how long organizations like Pride and K-1 were around with next to no mainstream recognition.

  • @Vinnymanvinny1
    @Vinnymanvinny1 11 ปีที่แล้ว

Actually it was Barnett that turned down the fight in Pride, secondly Fedor eventually agreed to fight Barnett and then Barnett popped for roids. Whose fault is that? Third Dan Henderson is actually a 205 who temporarily cut to 185. Fourth he was a heavyweight when he fought Fedor. Fifth, Fedor had dropped Dan Henderson and was on the verge of finishing him before he left. Sixth, everyone ages differently, not everyone is going to fight as long as Hendo and Couture.

Wladimir was last defeated in 2004 and has a a record of 51-3. Vitaly has a record of 41-2 and was last defeated in 2003. That was to Lewis and the fight was stopped because of a cut. These losses were 10 years ago. They have been become far better fighters since then. Obviously as both of them haven't been defeated in 10 years. That's something that most heavy weights can't claim.

Love how people say "Boxing is dead". Even Dana admitted boxing will never die. MMA is a great sport absolutely love it but UFC and Dana are a joke. A true fight fan and not bandwagon MMA fan likes every kind of organized fighting. Everyone will sit there and back the UFC's every move while there fighters make nothing and UFC line their pockets putting together terrible fights. Love how people bash boxing but it is by far a much more classy sport but everyone loves UFC because its POPULAR.

Oddly Dana White got his start in Boxing, not MMA. The Klitschko's have fought every fighter put in their way. They have incredible records and are huge impressive athletes that have unified the titles they fight for. Why do people get mad at them? Why not their competition? They are 2 of the best heavyweights that have ever fought. Find someone to beat them. It's not their jobs to entertain you, it's their job to win.

They are popular throughout Russia and most of Europe. Boxing is still a more popular sport. Based off of actual studies overall it is higher. In a category of ages 18-32 or something MMA is 2% or so more popular than boxing. every other age group from 11-17 and 33-90 is for boxing. MMA has made INSANE progress in its short lifetime. Will it be more popular worldwide? Who knows, both sports are here to stay and in my opinion they will be on and off with popularity.

What are you talking about man? What fight did you see? Cuz in the 3rd round Cain hit JDS with the same punch that JDS did to Cain...that punch made Herb Dean tap on Cain's shoulder? What ref TAPS on your shoulder when you're about to win?To me, that tap solidified Cains victory and the fight should've kept going. The fact that JDS kept going just shows that guys heart is second to none but Cain won, dominated again (this isn't K-1 if that's what you want go watch that) In a way he won twice.

I am a fan of Dana and the UFC, but the striking in the cage is very sloppy compared to boxing. They showed James Toney in the cage, but let any HW get in the boxing ring with Vit or Wlad and it would not even be competitive.
Plus, Ray Mercer KOed Tim Silvia in the cage.

yes my fault for bad reading comprehension, but there has been Italian and american- Italian champs who are consider legends in the US. During the 70, 80, and 90's when all fight division were stacked and fighters like Foreman, Frazier, Ali, and Tyson there wasn't many Europeans who could challenge them more or less beat them.but now when boxing is all time low and weak competition in every class i understand the need for more exciting fighter ffrom any country.

While you're trying to do that you'll get your arm snapped in half. Everyone just thinks... oh well in the street... I'll go poke an eye out or something. But people who fight know how to control distance and control others. Before you even think about doing something dirty you;re on your back getting gnpd, or you're head is being forced down to meet a knee, or you're starting to see stars because you're going unconscious.

Lesnar's biggest problem was his chin. as soon as he started taking legit punches to the face from strikers he would ball up and go into defense mode. he did it against Carwin and Velasquez. I'm not saying Brock was a joke I just can't see him beating Fedor at the time. I know my fair share of MMA and have watched religiously since UFC 74(I had watched fights before then just not regularly). I don't think I know everything about MMA I'm just stating my opinion as I respectfully disagree with you

Dana was a bit more respectful to the sport of boxing than he usually is. Just one thing that was extra funny was how much of a chance he hinted at JDS against Wlad in a boxing ring haha.. That's equivalent to saying Tank Abbot has a shot at knocking out Cain V in MMA if they fought..It COULD happen sure, But what are the chances?? so low it should not really be brought up out of respect to the superior/established in his sport athlete...

I am a fan of both and think that Dana and the UFC have been good for boxing because mma puts on better matchups, which forced boxing to start doing more entertaining cards.

Randleman was definitely faster and more explosive. I'd like you to name an opponent Lesnar had an explosive and powerful takedown on. He never threw people around like Randleman did. As for the strength I would give to Lesnar but I have seen Fedor submit guys stronger than him.

That comment makes so much sense. I suppose the fact that between the two they have every single title in the HW division is just a complete accident? Wladimir is the longest reigning WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, IBO and The Ring champion of all time while the WBC title is with his brother Vitali. I mean unifying all belts in the HW division is just easy stuff right? He is not a Mike Tyson or even an exciting fighter to watch but to say they are a joke? Come back to reality.. rather than being crazy.

How can Dana shit about Klitschkos and say that its embarrassing to heavyweight boxing that they are champs when his heavyweight champ does pretty much the same.

Who knows, who knows! From experience in street fighting, could say that quick reaction is the first and a truck punch is completely destroying for a seconds! In a heavy weight i didn't have any wrestling, only kicks from top of head to finish this if a fighter is huge and has a good stamina. If you are wrestler it's dangerous to jump to the legs of partner cos u can break your head or whatever by a corner or by tough road cover and for kick boxer so slow waving punches from MMA it doesn't work.

there is no debate, only fact. mma beats any individual martial art, inc boxing, coz mma encompasses all other martial arts, therefore completly absorbs boxing, and adds more strings to the bow. athlete boxing, only has boxing, whilst same athlete trained in mma, has boxing too, as well as kicking, grappling etc

Exactly. Change the subject for the third time and make attempts to insult my intelligence. That's what people do when they have nothing left to add. Your one point is it doesn't matter what league there in which I have already pointed out in multiple posts when you tried to neatly explain that the UFC was on some sort of pedestal above all the other leagues mainly pride while pride was much larger. What happened to that? So which is it MMA would be gone w/o UFC or other leagues are important?

It's not about being scared, it's about it being an unwise investment. Why bring in a guy who intentionally tries to end the careers of people you have invested years and millions in? Palhares is the epitome of more hassle than he's worth.

Cloeman was way out of his prime When Lesnar came to the UFC and Fedor already had 30 fights before Lesnar had 1. Lesnar had like 50 lbs of muscle over Couture. Couture weighed in at 220 and Lesnar had to cut down to 265. Everyone saw that lesnar was going to win and couture was 45 years old. Fedor had beaten bigger guys before. Hong man Choi was 7'2" and 352 and he finished him with an armbar. Lesnar tapped to Mir from an ankle hold. He had no submission defense. Fedor would've exposed that.

Dana is still promoting Tyson for crying out loud. Either Klit bro would destroy any UFC HW in history, with very little trouble.

Women fighters fight to the tens. I think it might be that they have something to prove. Whatever it is, It's awesome.
